What is it about women's threads and talking about women's wrestlers that just makes people so weird on here. The WWE forum is the same.

But AEW Women's threads are the worst, and I never feel like there's actual conversations to be had, we just spin in circles Anyway, Rosa/Baker is gonna be an awesome main event in the cage, and I'm ready for them to make good and give Rosa the big moment

The right steps were taken IMO. Rosa wins the title in her hometown in a cage, PVZ vs Tay is going to get pretty decent publicity, and the promo for Jade was well done. Again lot of work to do, but another night of steps in the right direction in my opinion

I don't appreciate being called "weird" for not liking a promo or promos. I don't wish ill will on Baker, or anyone else in the division. I didn't make this thread 14 pages long, so there are clearly some thoughts to be had.

They really should have done the interference finish between Rosa & Baker like a month ago and then done the cage match at the PPV. I'm glad that they're finally getting to the fireworks factory though.

Again lot of work to do, but another night of steps in the right direction in my opinion Still don't like the rigamarole of how they got here with Rosa and Baker. They kind of wasted Hirsch who would have been a perfectly acceptable first challenger for Rosa. I'm interested in who answers Jade's "open challenge." Almost like they were opening it up to debut Athena or Toni Rose or somebody in that spot. That could be a way to rip the Band-Aid off and give Jade a first loss while also giving her an "out." I'm not saying Jade "needs to" lose or anything, but if you're going to beat her you need to put some actual thought as to when and how you're going to do it and who you're giving the win to.

While I agree having Britt retain at Revolution wasn’t the best booking in the world, in fact it was bad. But I’d say, if you really want a real big title win that will be the story of the night, winning it in a steel cage in your home town might be a better place than in the middle of a PPV. I don’t know, I’m very much looking forward to the Cage match next week.

Hirsch got involved with Velvet and lost her focus, it's an easy out for the loss and I said multiple times that feud wasn't over. But Jade's challenge is gonna probably be a surprise name yeah, the battle for a Belt vs 30-0 sounds like a marquee match

Well, that's a problem when Dr. Baker herself is sort of going in a never-ending circle, cutting the same promo over and over.

I like the idea of setting up Rosa/Britt in a cage, and I liked showing that Rosa had Britt beat if not for Hayter and Rebel. Now how we got to this and having the set up be at the ppv? I agree not the best idea. Also agree on Leyla

There's a combination of entrenched positions and stan wars that is just exhausting.

I legitimately don't want to talk about certain wrestlers like Jade anymore because I feel like the inevitable is going to happen, it seems to happen even when she ISN'T being discussed? It's so odd.

So PVZ vs. Tay it seems.
That is an interesting feud.

Yeah, but it's a flaw in the character at this point. Baker just...doesn't crack very often, and it limits her a lot. A lot of her feuds the past year would have been way more fun if opponents could visibly get under her skin. It's a really big hole in her game.

What is it about women's threads and talking about women's wrestlers that just makes people so weird on here. The WWE forum is the same. I think there's going to be that element of weirdness talking about women's wrestlers on a community that's overwhelmingly made up of men. Unfortunately, this board has a history of not treating women well, though it's a lot better than it used to be.

Paige signing her contract on top of Tay’s ass.
Yeah she knew what she was doing there.

Baker is hardly the first asshole heel in wrestling history. They haven't all drawn this sort of reaction out of me. 1997 Shawn Michaels did. The NWO did at times, though not all the time. And that's not a good thing--I hated DX, and not in a "I hope they get what's coming to them" way, in a "Okay, what's on Nitro?" way. Now, AEW has the benefit of having my undivided TV attention with nothing else to flip to (I wouldn't switch to NXT even if it was still on Wednesdays), and Baker isn't dominating entire episodes in multiple segments like Shawn did, but it's a similar principle. "Being an asshole heel" does not entitle you to bury your opponent in promos, unless this is WWE which is all about burying babyfaces and exacerbating their weaknesses in the name of some nebulous idea of "heat."
