I'll get this out of the way: creepy versions of anthropomorphic animals is probably too easy.
I was thinking of this when I saw the (negative) feedback about Radical Edward's appearance in Netflix Cowboy Bebop. What things are just best left in animation, no matter how "important" they were?

I dunno, I’d be up for say, a new Robin Hood if they used the tech for Rocket’s expressions, that’d be cute. But no more of whatever the heck Jon Favreau was trying with that new Lion King, those chars just felt lifeless.
What shouldn’t be put in live action? Fairly Odd Parents. It’s already happened, but it did not work, god damn.

Pretty much all of them to my mind.
There probably has been something that's been improved by a live action adaptation at some point, but all the examples I can think of are basically cash grabs that speak to a dearth of fresh ideas.
Like, was anyone really clamoring for a live action Beauty And The Beast or Cowboy Bebop?

Made my post before reading this and The Jungle Book is actually the one I've seen that I think does make a significant improvement on the original. It's subjective since they were going for a totally different tone, but looking at it through my old man lenses I thought it was a much better movie than the animated original.

Cowboy Bebop you can do tho It’s much harder to try to ape and do stuff like Bleach, Attack on Titan etc which do not come out looking good

Simpsons, South Park, and Family Guy.
Even theearly seasons would suck in live action.

I don't really want to look for it, but I'm like 98% sure someone somewhere has tried a live action version of this.

The issues with Edward were... 1. they changed almost everyone else's design in subtle or not so subtle ways... and then left Ed like completely accurate.... 2. Edward is comically over animated in the anime... which works in a cartoon format... but absolutely does not in real life.... especially for outside of Ed the show is relatively grounded (for a show about space bounty hunters anyway >_>)

Was there ever like a live action Crayon Shin Chan? That’d be a stretch, even more than what they’re planning for One Piece (no pun intended).

I think most things in theory could work in live action.. even if there's a lot of "Why?" behind it...
also things in general have t ochange just due to adapting it to a new medium.
