I supported the fact that WWE needed to have Jeff stay on the roster, not fire him and then try to get him help. I literally was saying this the other day in that initial thread. Now we find out Jeff refused to get help and the WWE fired him. Sadly, it's a case where Jeff won't get help unless he wants to get help. The company offered him help and he declined. Addiction is a tragedy and it's up to Jeff at this point. No one can help you unless you want to help yourself and Jeff, in his current state, doesn't want it.
I hope that no other wrestling company signs him because right now it's clear that he doesn't need wrestling. Not WWE, not AEW, not TNA, not ROH, he just needs help. He needs to cleanse his demons and getting inside of a ring won't quell that.
I just hope Jeff gets help.

Arn Anderson was let go for a potentially similar situation with Alicia Fox because he was the senior agent in charge of that particular house show. And as bad as that one was (and it was pretty bad), this is honestly worse because more of the people who are producers have worked with him for years. Like, you can’t tell me that D-Von or Shane Helms aren’t aware of his history, one of them being in the same company during Victory Road 2011. Come on now. Seems a bit of a leap when we don’t know the exact situation here as far as how intoxicated he was, what signs he was showing before the match, vs what developed during the match, etc. Could very well be that whatever he took didn’t affect his body until they were already out there.

Yea I am on the train with others that he needs to keep away from the wrestling business as there is really nothing else left to try ...he has been to rehab, gotten fired multiple times from various companies.
It sucks that this is how his career would end but for the sake of just him this should be it completely other than an inevitable HOF induction.

Maybe getting fired will be a wake-up call? It would be even more of a wake-up call if other companies wouldn’t entertain signing him until he committed to cleaning up.

I mean, we don’t, that’s true, but we also don’t know if it wasn’t something that was progressing throughout the event beforehand which has happened way too many times with Jeff, which is why I’m saying if something does come out, someone should lose their job for many reasons.

There's obviously still a lot we don't know here. It could be a cut and dry situation where Jeff went to the ring under the influence and that's clearly a major issue he needs help with. He could have had a rough night the day before and his body just quit on him during the match. He might have been dehydrated and just couldn't get himself together. All of it still points to him needing some help and likely rehab but some situations are more black and white than others.

Jeff needs help.
And then he needs to retire.
He's proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he cannot function in wrestling without inevitably returning to his problems.

I wonder if wwe will consider this a wellness thing? That'd be three for him which would lock him out of WWE for a year and a required rehab stay I think.

Sapp also just said that WWE offered Jeff help and rehab but he refused. Inexcusable. I supported the fact that WWE needed to have Jeff stay on the roster, not fire him and then try to get him help. Was really hoping for that Jeff/Roman feud. I don’t want to needlessly speculate but it is “strange” timing after that interview and after all the buzz/hype about him versus Roman possibly happening. It’s worrying. You got the sense from Meltzer talking about it a few days ago that it was the case. He didn’t explicitly say it but..the way he talked around it..yeah. Jeff’s family are in my thoughts, hopes and prayers right now.

Not that anyone is saying it, but I have reasons to be cynical and think someone out there is.
Screw you if you're all "Yay Hardy Boyz reunion in AEW!"
First Jeff has more pressing matters than wrestling. Second, the Flair issue shows us that TK is not totally desperate for name value with baggage. So...no.

There’s definitely one guy on the Twitter that is saying he got inebriated on purpose to break his contract and go to AEW, thus showing how the race to reach new lows isn’t just for WWE’s business practices.

Yeah no one is saying it here on this forum thankfully, I did see some clowns on that SRS tweet talking about it though which is crazy but yeah. That needs to be the last thing anyone mentions.
