Robin Williams is always a pure babyface to me though he has done tremendous work like one hour photo but he was such a lovable guy that seeing him as a villain just isn't natural!
Gal Gadot is another natural babyface but will be interesting to see how she does as the evil Queen.

I'd like to see a film where Tom Hanks just plays a completely evil villain.

Jack Nicholson as the heel.
Admittedly I haven't seen most of his work so he may have killed it as a face in some roles, but he nailed The Joker, Jack Torrans, and Col. Jessep.

Brad Pitt's best roles are when he plays villains: Kalifornia, 12 Monkeys, Fight Club.

Gal Gadot is another natural babyface but will be interesting to see how she does as the evil Queen. On the flip side, Tom Cruise is a natural heel, making it frustrating how little he actually leans into it. The Color of Money and Collateral are excellent examples of how good he can be as the antagonist.

I'd like to see a film where Tom Hanks just plays a completely evil villain. Not a villain, but he plays an amazing unapologetic slimeball in Volunteers. A completely forgotten classic that I think is the only movie he and John Candy were in together.

I'd like to see a film where Tom Hanks just plays a completely evil villain. The closest I can think of off the top of my head would be Ladykillers. He's definitely not playing a good person by any stretch of the imagination in that.

Quite telling that three people can name three different movies in which Gary Oldman is an effective face. Although I've only watched the Batman trilogy and didn't like him there at all. That could've also to do with his dubbing voice:

Michael Keaton seems to have done a good job at being a face early on (bar beetlejuice) and playing some utter bastards now.

John Hurt is a polarizing one for me because he was so great at playing sympathetic protagonists (Hazel, The War Doctor, Joseoph Merrick) or despicable antagonists (Horned King, Caligula, Suttler) that it's hard to say he was better at one or the other.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned William Shatner. He's at the point in his life where he's a living legend just because he's a "living" legend and the fans want to believe in him but from what I've read he was dreadful to get along with and he's often been apologetically against any type of free autograph for fans. I get free autographs are not owed to fans and I've never tried for his autograph myself as I am not a fan but he's always been outspoken about his disdain for being asked for free autographs by fans.
At paid signings, when fans are paying $100 or more for the "privilege" of being within a few feet from him, he does the bare minimum. He, at one point, looked down on the Star Trek fan base though in his older age, and doing the paid autographs, may not speak of it now. MJF is doing the gimmick, William is the real life version of a gimmick.
I haven't seen him in too many movies unless it's with someone else I like as an actor because I can't stand his acting where it's like he puts a "period" after syllable. He is a real life bad guy to me and for someone like me, The Simpson's making fun of his "singing" (listen to the "Flanders Man" song) is a gem to me. The shows I have seen him in, he always is the bad guy character-maybe because those making the casting decisions know it will be real with William.

This may be strange considering how beloved his role in Back to the Future is...but I think Christopher Lloyd plays the bad guy better than good guys (Kruge from Trek 3, Judge Doom, Rasputin...even that fake trailer horror Willy Wonka).

I think Johnny Depp plays a good heel, though it's rare. If he ever gets back into acting it might be more common though, because...yeah.

James Spader is so good at playing a slimey douchbage, its very weird seeing him play a white meat babyface in Stargate.

He seemed to enjoy himself, and was far from rude. Any interactions I'd heard from people meeting him, were very nice. When I met Batista in 2005, he was rude. I wasn't his biggest fan, but respected others' fandom of him. Years later, I do find myself enjoying his work, and this forum has made me a fan of him.

Tim Curry as a villain. Same goes for Joe Pesci.

I think you are the "exception" rather than the rule. He is "ignore fan" at all costs, do the bare minimum from everything I've read during my almost 30 years of autograph collecting. And since covid hit, the few shows he's done has been with plexiglass and with every show he does for years it's an assistant hands him the fan item, he signs it, someone else gives it back to the fan-little to no interaction. The man doesn't care and of course, there have been issues with him with Leonard Nimoy and George Takei, two "salt of the earth" type men among others and it's all William himself. The guy is an absolute jerk.

Tim Curry as a villain. Same goes for Joe Pesci. I think one of Tim Curry's best roles was Rendon Howe of Dragon Age: Origins. As even at his most villanous, Curry usually has that hammy, love-to-hate charm, but not in this case. He played Rowe as a truly hateful, spiteful bastard.
