Say that in Season 2 for MMPR, instead of keeping the original Zyuranger suits, they instead chose to adapt the uniforms as well for it.
Naturally for the beginning of the Season, there would be two Green Rangers as Zack would be changing colors but Tommy would end up becoming The White Ranger soon enough anyway. There has been fan made videos if that had happened.
What's your opinion, should they have kept the originals, or moved onto The Dairanger Suits for the new season?

It would've made sense to move to the suits.
They could've even made new toys of them.
Saban was terrified to rock the boat in any way until they had absolutely dried up every last drop of footage they could get away with and they weren't going to commission any more.

If there was a time to make the switch, I think it was when Rocky, Adam and Aisha actually become rangers. Would have felt less like they were replacements for Jason, Zack and Trini that way and let them settle into their roles quicker.

At the very use them for the Dark Rangers.

The white one looks great, green is alright, not feeling the others. Pink in particular does not mesh well with the white tunic thing.

What I find odd about Dairanger's usage in MMPR was that the main villain in Dairanger was reduced to a regular, one-off monster. Granted, you could still have Lord Zedd be the main threat and keep that going, but that's a lot of footage you're not using that could have instead been recycled for a mini story arc.

Dairanger's suits were pretty nice and would've made the White Ranger suit look more in line with the other rangers.
I guess they didn't want to rock the boat and kept with the Zyuranger suits for awhile until finally moving on to new suits with Zeo.

Another big problem with Dairanger footage would be with yellow. In that series, Yellow used the Drunken Fist fighting style.
How they would adapt that for Trini/Aisha would be an interesting story to tell had they actually gone with those suits.
Then again, they did find a workaround with the fact that their White Ranger did what the Power Rangers Turbo Blue Ranger did...

The other area of confusion for transfering over from Zyuranger to Dairanger suits is that they decided to keep Tommy as the Green Ranger with the Dragonzord for the early part of the show while there was a Green Dairanger who controlled the Mythical Qi Beast Star-Jishi mecha (aka, the Lion Thunderzord). So they'd either have to have Tommy become the White Ranger much sooner than originally intended or write him out for awhile.

That leads to an interesting crossroads as well because Tommy wasn't supposed to come back. The plan was going to be a new White Ranger, but plans changed and they brought Tommy back. If there had been less time between Green Ranger going and White Ranger arriving, would it have been Tommy or would Brad Hawkins have been put on Power Rangers?

It is an interesting thought on how the progression would have gone if they adapted the sentais in full as is.
Like MMPR to Dairanger is pretty easy...Dairanger footage to Kakuranger though is a bit more iffy.
The white ranger is now female and the leader and there is no official sixth ranger so that a pretty significant shift in team structure.

I often wonder, if MMPR started with a different suit/source material, would it be as fondly remembered? I mean, the original dinosaur ones are strong nostalgia for Most of the world, but for Japan, it's probably just suit no. 25 out 50 years of sentai. Could you imagine if Stan lee got his way and the power rangers we were introduced to were the Bio-Men? Actually in Korea, we got that series dubbed over. My fondest memories of super sentai is actually Flashman, so I lost my shit when I saw them pop up in those team Red specials.

What's funny is the actual first Sentai shown in the US were these ones - I kind of dig it but no, I don't see this franchise taking off if they'd looked like a bunch of baseball players.

Yes...but only if the Power Ranger actors can imitate the poses just like the Dairanger actors did in that one episode:

I feel like when I was a kid, I would've rejected the switch full-stop and I say that because I wasn't a fan of the Thunderzords. I didn't like it's design and I thought the fights were boring. And a lot of my friends tuned out because of the word change, so it wasn't just me.
However, I also feel the only reason we didn't get the costume change was because of the Zyu2 stuff. If they didn't have those extra fight scenes, I think the switch to Dairanger would've happened and the franchise would be less fondly remembered today.
My current stance on Dairanger, for those wondering, is that I love it. My sister and I binged it in early 2021 and we liked it more than Zyuranger.

As I kid I would have dug it, but as an adult I'm not to big on the Dairanger suits. I think white as the dominant color looks weird, like the Lost Galaxy suits.
