I wish there was a documentary series of all the gimmick changes that failed or never went to television. Stuff like this to "Super Hero Neville" to "Bane Ambrose", man that's a goldmine.

I feel like a more self aware company would be happy to produce that sort of content, likely getting the actual people in to interview and it’d be an interesting watch.

We’ll have to look back on that RAW and see what went so long that it necessitated nine minutes to be cut from one match.

Well, there's a lie if I ever read one. Long-term plans in current day WWE? Riiiiiiiiiight...

10 minute match cut down to 90 seconds, I need to rewatch that episode of raw and see how it was paced, sounds lie one of those situations where he probably stood out there in the ring longer than his match was...

While AEW hasn't had that many missteps yet they could find a way to do an annual one. Say an episode where Brandi's talking about that bad thing she and Nyla were trying to get off the ground or maybe an episode about why Britt's push wasn't working until she turned heel. Maybe one about the Dark Order being lame in the beginning but then they became "good lame" and it started to click. They can pull it off. But with this company I feel we'd get one of those lines where the company would say they planned on that like they said when they planned on pissing people off enough with the Bryan stuff that they'd make him be the main event of WM. All because they saw something in him and they wanted us to see it too.

Looking at the RAW this was on (7/19)... This was the first RAW back in front of a crowd, so you had Cena doing a promo after his big return the night before, you had Goldberg doing a return to set up the Lashley feud, you had a whole bunch of 10 minute matches... In hindsight, either drop this match and give the extra five minutes to Keith Lee on his own ill-fated return so he looks a LITTLE BIT better in defeat against Lashley or don't do a 10 minute Jaxson Ryker v Elias match and give that time to Hardy and Kross.

On a show that is THREE HOURS LONG, why WWE insists on having so many short matches is beyond me?

Baseless speculation, but given the history of WWE I'm going to guess the answer is (shrug emoji) and "Vince felt like it". It feels like there was probably no actual reason to cut it short.

While the WWE will just keep these ideas on the back burner until they find some poor sod they can saddle with it, see Mighty Mouse Pac, Gimp Mask Kross, Ring Master Steve Austin and so on.

His match was cut from 10 mins to 90 seconds when he was standing in the ring waiting for the bell to ring. I feel like that needs to be repeated several times. WWE messed up the timing so badly, they didn't even have time to tell Kross before he went out there. Insane.

I get some people didn't like him but this company f***ed him over so bad.
The change in presentation/ring attire was a joke. And losing his first match?

It gives new perspective to the thing everyone's talking about where they'll cut to something else after the entrances...like they send the guys out there and then realize right then that they want to have a bunch of other segments on the show...

Just look at Dolph lastnight he was out there for what felt like a half hour before Priest ever got to the ring it was insane.

Okay but why job him on his first night? He should've said no to that.

Okay but whybjob him on his first night? He should've said mo to that. That would've just right away established him as difficult, and him losing in his debut was clearly about sending a message that NXT was no longer being considered worthwhile considering the dismantling of it into 2.0 began immediately after that.

Okay but why job him on his first night? He should've said no to that. He should have but like said it would have labeled him difficult. Kross was very willing from the minute he got to the company as he himself has said he willingly just gave himself completely to creative. Between he and Bray...one labeled difficult and the other completely willing to just go with what they ask of him shows that there is absoloutley no good side to this company creatively and you are f***ed either way.
