I was so bummed when they missed out on her the first time, am so happy the second time around she's here to only continue to grow the awesome talent pool of women AEW is cultivating
This also may be why Shafir is getting a look, putting her with Martinez is a smart choice if they do that

Such a hell yes of a debut.
Pairing her with Jade is good, because if anybody can shape Jade up (and she very much needs it based on that performance) by tagging with her, it's Mercedes freaking Martinez.
And setting up a Thunder Rosa/Mercedes Martinez match first thing is a great way to come out swinging.

Somewhat shocked she didn't resign on a longer deal with Impact but a great signing for AEW. To me she's another one that's just too good to pass up if your AEW and she is one that can add much needed experience and coaching to the division (much like Serena has)
The one thing tonight was a lot of development on the women's side of things. Some like Kris/Leyla seemed forced but there is a lot going on which isn't bad

She should've been the foundation they built the division around in the first place. I hope she gets a title run, and a chance to show the world how damn good she really is.

Mercedez as Jade mentor is a great choice, specially if they want her to be one of the faces of the women division. Might not be a mentor situation as much as an alliance I could see Martinez forming up with Shafir though |

Guessing this is what Khan was alluding to then with that tweet about having one more surprise up his sleeve. Even if she cannot go like she used to she will be immeasurable for the younger women that are still tuning their game.

She's invaluable to have, like Emi, Deeb and Diamante, really great veteran hands who can also coach and be a major player at the same time. I think she has quite a few bangers left in her, helps the talent on the women's roster to have those bangers with is high |

Nightmare Family (with King & Velvett having been in the NWA tag tourny)
Inching closer to a viable tag division.
