So we have Britt Baker and MJF retweeting Tony's comments...seems like there's a trend here. The chosen ones aren't you going to see the struggle Waiting for someone black to retweet it

I really don't understand why folks in the company need to double down. On the last day of the year, no less. This is spectacularly bad from a PR perspective.

If Vince used social media, I'd expect it to actually be more comical in the sense it's a mid 70s man trying to figure out how it works, rather than getting into arguments. Though Vince getting into social media arguments with random fans sounds REALLY funny lol If Vince used social media I think it'd mainly just be this stream-of-consciousness spiel on all his perverse sex fantasies. So the On the Record with Bob Costas interview, then.

Sounds like if Trips liked an interview from Vince where he said there's no booking issues when he was getting pushed over everybody back in the early 00s. Yeah I will say if you're a pushed white star on the card then this conversation isn't exactly about you. Just like how it's hard for white wrestling fans to comment on what needs to be or not be fixed. I get the notion of wanting to defend your boss, but it's not the time, you gotta read a room

I know shit stank when they had an asian women’s champ for a long ass time and she could barely make it onto the main show but the second Britt gets the belt she’s in multiple segs a week.
Tony’s a damn clown for that tweet and it shows that he’s a thin skinned child if his response to that whole thing is the wrestling Booker equivalent of “I have black friends”

People used to talk about certain wrestlers “drinking the Kool-Aid” and sticking by Paul Heyman no matter what he did back in ECW. Getting to see who’s slurping up Tony’s mix tonight.

Looks like Shane Taylor's got an issue with it too. Yeah, black talent don't like this. Even Cedric, someone who was eyeing to got AEW, made a comment.

Not trying to start a fight, but I disagree with your point that it's hard for white guys and girls to comment on the fact that there's an issue here.

Lio Rush seems pissed about this. If this is ever getting sorted, strangely enough he'll probably do it. Both he and Khan are honestly pretty similar people lol

I dont think anyone was even questioning that AEW cares about minorities, like... it's not a question that they do and care about those communities. People and talent alike just want to make sure there isn't a ceiling to be hit, and that there are going to be POC talent more in the main event. Khan didn't exactly calm those notions, even if there's some underlying factors we don't know about when it comes to Swole's backstage tenure or what have you, you have to not only answer to fans, but your own talent, who seem disappointed by your response to the matter.

Man, I get sick and go off the grid for a few hours and THIS happens. YIKES.
Tony dude, STFU. You are doing no one any favors with this crap. What a dumbass tweet and just makes me cringe so damn hard. With a whole 3 classes in PR, I could have made an infinitely better response had he wanted to respond. "I understand where Swole is coming from and we've since taken internal actions to correct our business strategies." Even if you don't mean it, it would acknowledge her comment and fan down the flames a bit. His response puts a blemish on himself and AEW as a brand. Unfortunately, what she said wasn't some shocking revelation. We all know they've been shit about pushing POC correctly, or at all even really, but this is shoving your own head up your ass.

Respectfully, you haven't seen how defensive white people can get when you bring up any sort of diversity.
