41. Rayman Legends
It turns out that the disc version of Life is Strange 2 doesn't include episode 5, and I wasn't buying it individually so sent it back right away and will just pick it up next time it's on sale and I'm in the mood, is on sale all the time anyway. So instead got in Rayman Legends, which I've been wanting to play for awhile but didn't want to pay for because f*** Ubisoft.
First time really playing a Rayman game, and it does make me curious for more though unsure if I want to actually buy this one or Origins. They are frequently super cheap so can kinda justify it to myself but it's still a bit iffy. Either way, did like the game quite a bit, but I do think it can be pretty aggressively cheap with how trial-and-error it often is and for a very fast-paced platformer it feels like there are a lot of times you're having to manage a lot of buttons at once and it can be a bit overwhelming. All the same, did definitely enjoy it and blitzed through it pretty quickly in the end, though there is still an absolute ton of side content to unpack on top of the main game and all. I miiiight pick it up at some point during one of its frequent sales but I'll probably feel a bit dirty if I do.

3(?). Brigandine: Legend of Runseria. Brigandine on the PS1 was one of my absolute faves on that console, and about a decade or so later I played the hell out of the fan-made translation of the Japan-only Grand Edition. Didn't have a Switch, but eventually it made it's way into Steam and I got it as soon as I can.
Plays much like the PS1 games with just a few tweaks. Still some noticeable weaknesses in the AI, which means I have an easy enough time unless I give myself handicaps. Never really like self-imposed challenges, but still had fun. Still having fun. Plan to wear myself out on the game for quite a good bit.

{Spoiler}01 - Death's Door 02 - Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan 03 - Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope 04 - Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes 05 - Days Gone 06 - Batman - The Telltale Series 07 - Batman - The Enemy Within 08 - Lego DC Super Villains 09 - Lego Marvel Superheroes (replay) 10 - Lego Marvel's Avengers 12 - Watchdogs: Legion -------------------------------------------- 13 - Assassins Creed: Valhalla
I'm counting this one as complete, but I'll still probably spend more time going for the platinum and tidying up the little bits I've missed.
Well, I know what game will be topping my end of year list for most hours spent playing. Turns out I'm a fan of the way they've gone with the last few games in this series. For some reason, this is one of those games for me that, unlike Watchdogs, I enjoy going round grabbing all the collectible stuff, doing challenges, and the World Event mini side missions. The taking over territory aspect never felt repetitive either, which is a problem for plenty of games that do it.
I'm somebody that never really minded the modern day bits of the games in the past, but nowadays they just seem pointless and like there's no plan to them (apparently the world is ending again?). Luckily, you're only forced out of the Animus a couple of times during the game, and the other times where you communicate with your team during simulation glitches are fun little platform/puzzle bits.
I'm kind of getting an itch to go back and play Origins and Odyssey now.

34: Plague Tale Innocence
What a depressing nightmare. I’m not happy I played it, I’m not happy I beat it. I’ll probably end up buying the sequel for some reason because I want something good to happen to the crew after this.
Seriously, this was a TLOU2 level downer.
3 / 5 (probably technically better but it was just so bleak)

35: Far Cry 6
Okay. It’s fine. The finale actually got me wrapped into it more than I expected after just kind of plodding along for 80% of the game. It’s exactly Far Cry though, you know what you’re getting if you’re into these games.
One really strange thing here were the graphics. The game looked incredibly solid in action, but cutscenes were all so janky feeling. Like the FPS got cut in half for some reason.
3.25 / 5

11. Scarface: The World is Yours
A month ago I was tempted to play this due to watching videos from TheProfessional on YouTube. It made go through my game library and pop it into my PS2 and then I played it for a good amount of time. I got really far, but took nearly a month off from playing it. I don't know why, either. But I returned to it and then beat it.
As for the game itself, it still holds up after all these years. Personally, I never cared that you couldn't shoot innocents as Tony, being that when playing games like GTA or Saints Row, I hardly ever shoot innocent people on my own accord (unless a mission calls for it). I have always liked the gameplay mechanics with its use of not only bloody violence, but also dealing in narcotics. And people still believe that video games are for children? There is nothing kid-friendly about this game.

15. The Quarry (PS5, physical)
Probably the best of the Supermassive Games aside from Until Dawn. Likable characters for the most part, fair QTEs, great presentation, good graphically (except for the water, the water effects suck and everyone has really big mouths). Was able to avoid super cheap deaths, only got one counsellor killed and it was absolutely by own fault. David Arquette is really misadvertised on how much he's in it compared to the trailer, you barely see him.

36: Cyberpunk2077 Very glad I waited on this one until it was more or less playable and got the next Gen upgrade. Not great, but still good. Spent a lot of the time just KO’ing side missions which I had a good time with. The side characters were pretty likable and actually worth the time. When it came to the main story, felt like a lot of nothing really. I was shocked when I hit the “POINT OF NO RETURN” warning. 3.5 / 5 — Really like the credit scenes {Spoiler}{Spoiler} with all the characters you built relationships with calling you and giving post-story lore of the world. Good stuff.

37: As Dusk Falls {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} THAT ENDING WTF … Can’t really figure this one out, but it was clearly just sequel bait, so hopefully it comes at some point Really enjoyed this one once I got past the animation style. And everything went about exactly as I wanted it with the choices I made. Don’t even need to go back and do much replaying because I’m that happy with my canonical ending. 4 / 5

38: Batman Telltale; The Enemy Within I dug it. Pretty much my reaction to every playable movie game. I hate how I ended with Alfred. I judged the choice wrong, and got the worst possible outcome with him. 4 / 5

39; Dying Light Decided to replay this one as I wait for a buddy to get in the mood to co-op #2 Still fun, but some pretty frustrating moments throughout. The controls get a little out of whack in spots and the parkour can feel pretty rough often refusing to grab the right ledge or wall running when you don’t want to at all. The final boss is a let down {Spoiler} it’s a 5 button QTE Still solid though despite some flaws. 3.5 / 5

Yakuza 5
Jesus, this one took me months to beat due to taking breaks and going back to it. It's Yakuza so I mostly had a good time, but it really could have been trimmed down a bit. It just goes on forever and the plot goes into Vince Russo insanity more each chapter. I'm glad 6 goes back to playing as just Kiryu, but it might be a while before I play it after that.

42. Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Wasn't really sure if I was going to pick this up at launch or not, but the mood struck me so I wound up going for it. I'm glad I did since I wound up super enjoying it, been pretty embarrassingly addicted to it for the past couple of weeks (though with some days off from it mixed in there) and it's been kind of holding up stuff I've been needing to work on.
I do certainly have some grievances with it - there's a definite mid-game lull, final boss is lame, it can take way too long to unlock classes - but on the whole really loved it. It explains its systems a lot better than 2 does and on the whole it's just a really tight, fun experience that's easy to lose yourself in. Really looking forward to the side story DLC and I'm hoping unlike Torna it's an actual follow-up rather than a prequel. ... I'm also hoping it isn't as grindy as Torna.

40: WWE2K22 Showcase Mode
Sure, I’ll count this. Really cool mode. I wish it was someone I remotely cared about. A Seth Rollins showcase mode would be awesome, but a certain third dude who’s been a huge part of his story is wrapped up elsewhere.
First WWE game I’ve played in many years, I’m actually enjoying it a bit.

Super Mario 3D World.
OK, now that I have a Switch, I figured I could share some of the games I've beaten on it as soon as I've beaten them too.
Please note that I've only beaten Mario 3D World in the sense that the end credits rolled after the final stage in Bowser's amusement park. I know that there is still stuff to do (for now, I found the record that takes me to a new world but I also know about the Mystery Box Marathon and Champion's Road) so I am not yet totally finished with that game.
Overall, my first new Mario game since playing Super Mario 64 over 20 years ago was definitely a fun one. Liked the variety of ideas they did for the levels, the cat transformation and ability is cool, the various implementations from the NES 2D Marios were great (it seemed that they incorporated aspects of SMB 1-3 very much when I look at stuff) and all in all, I enjoy playing it so far. Played it basically that I used one character per world (i.e. played through World 1 with Mario, World 2 with Luigi, World 3 with Peach, World 4 with Toad and so forth).
Only negative things I can think of is that it is a bit easy for the majority part of the "main" game (never had too much trouble figuring out the locations of the stars and stamps save for maybe 5-6 and at the point the game got tough I had racked about 35-40 lives which dwindled down to 15 as I neared the end) and I didn't like that the main game doesn't really end with a final boss fight but rather a run to the top while evading Meowser.
Now to continuing it and also starting Bowser's Fury.

43. Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost & Damned
Really meant to wrap this one up a lot sooner but got a bit burned out on GTA4 after doing the main game. But hey, at least got back around to it and finished it. I think my third, maybe fourth time beating it but it's the first time in a long time in either case.
It's more GTA4, kind of all there is to say about it. There's definitely novelty to it but I do think the game can be more of a chore to play than the main game, between the slow as hell pack driving in the early game, the frequency at which the game leans on doing one massive shootout after another after another for its missions, and the very bleak story without a lot of likable characters. Definitely enjoy it but not like crazy fond of it.
Probably replay The Ballad of Gay Tony at some point soonish, though might do Bully or LA Noire first and got other stuff I'm emphasizing before I get to either of those anyway. Only played TBOGT one time so curious to see what I'd think of it on revisiting it.

44. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Not been a super long time since I played it, couple years, but it'd been the 3D Zelda game it'd been the longest since I'd played so was wanting to get around to it for awhile. Getting the drifting stick on my Wii U (mostly) fixed was a good incentive to go ahead and do a run through of it, though it was kind of an abridged one without bothering with a lot of the side content this time around mostly since it hasn't been too hugely long since I've gone more in-depth with it.
It's a game I really love a lot, in spite of having a lot of easily identifiable problems, and without hesitation one of my absolute favorite Zelda games. Despite having just played through it on the Wii U and also having the Gamecube version as an option if they ever finally get around to porting it to Switch I'll totally buy it without hesitation.

45. Super Mario Galaxy
I think this was my second, maybe third, time doing a full Luigi playthrough. Played the game through many times at this point but generally just do fresh Mario runs, prefer his physics anyway. But hey, had the Mario file finished on the Switch version, might as well go for a Luigi run.
Still love the game on the whole but one thing that really stood out to me on this playthrough is that this game has waaaay too many in-game cutscenes. Don't know why they feel the need to break up all momentum with the boss fights by having cutscenes of them reacting to getting hit instead of just doing it in-engine but it gets very old. I prefer the increased story focus of this game over its sequel, but that kind of stuff is just useless fluff and it's not something the sequel learned from in following Miyamoto's stupid, "Story is only allowed in Pikmin," edict anyway.
Eh. In either case I'll likely replay Galaxy 2 soonish as well but while I usually play them back-to-back I'm feeling rather tapped out on it right now, so might be a month or two.

---------------------------------- 14 - Judgment I said in the main Playstation thread after a couple of hours play that this felt like one that I was really going to enjoy, and I was right. I put about 70 hours into it, but a significant chunk of that was playing poker... and blackjack... and Outrun... and Space Harrier... and Mahjong, Koi Koi, Oicho Kabu, & Shogi (with varying degrees of understanding of how to play)... and... I liked the characters, I liked the story, the combat was solid, there's no obvious negatives that jump out apart from the minor one of the characters that you befriend that decide to help you out in fights and you have to stop and thank them at the end every single time they show up (which is most random fights), even if you took care of things before they even got involved.
