With Rosa currently busy, then who will be next in line? Serena? Guessing that was the point of the Ruby segment on Dynamite, so she can choke again. Because heaven forbid we just get to the damn point. Indeed

Well, count me in the minority of people that liked Britt vs. Riho and thought it was a good match. I don't think Baker's title reign has much longer left in it though and now's the time for AEW to pick who's next and bring them up to Britt's level of star power. I agree it was a good not great match, IMHO. My main problem is that Britt's reign has become very stale likely due to an absence of meaningful or really any storylines. This is the inverse of the monster heel of the month type reign Britt battles a new face every couple of months with very weak program builds.

I would like Taya in AEW because not only she is solid in the ring and has a great look but also the mic skills on par with Britt

Does Riho not have any friends whatsoever? Where the hell was anyone?
Like someone said, Britt's matches are good until the bullshit ends up happening. Then it becomes a farce.

Britt matches are decent but i cant say she puts any better than 90% of the division.
We have amazing performers in Riho,Shida ,Deeb,Ruby.
And formely more green wrestlers like Tay,Leyla and Statlander that are just plain better than her too.

Britt is teetering into Roman territory, for me. There, I said it. She doesn't sell fear of her opponents well, she doesn't have the ring generalship to put her opponent over while still winning, and even when she gets her ass handed to her (lights out with Thunder Rosa) she doesn't show fear of the woman that bloodied her and put her through a table as a heel should. Sorry, but I'm over Britt. The moment she reached that absolute point for me was on the Road To vs Tay where she straight up no sold everything about Tay's promo and chances and then she went and completely downplayed the TBS title and everyone competing for it

That just, happens in Britt feuds. The faces have friends. Those friends just, don’t show up, whenever it’s time for them to face Britt. Happened with Ruby, happened with Tay, happened here, etc.

Because there is no reason. It’s lazy writing and booking.

Is there a kayfabe explanation why Tony Khan allowed Britt and The Elite to screw over babyfaces over and over again for basically a year? I can’t stand WWE’s over-reliance on heel authority figures but the one benefit is it gives a reason for heels to get away with stuff if their bosses are assholes too. TK is presumably a babyface/neutral figure though. Why doesn’t he ban Hayter/Rebel/Cutler from ringside for title matches when they’re constantly ruining matches? Omega and the Bucks are kayfabe EVP's as well as actual EVP's so that at least makes some sort of sense where they'd abuse their executive power when Tony isn't paying attention. And it caught up to the Bucks where Tony Khan booked them in a steel cage match at All Out where they lost to the Lucha Bros.
No clue about nothing similar being done about Baker, though. This also plays into the "lawful stupid" face trope where they don't bring friends to even the odds.
Im pretty sure Khan giving Britt the street fight with Abadon and then the contenders match with Riho which she lost were both punishments for Britt continuing to use interference in her matches Wouldn't be shocked if we see that again. It kind of stacks in AEW where if interference happens enough, Khan gets fed up with it.

And yet he allows Jamie and Rebel to be out there with her anyway?

And yet he allows Jamie and Rebel to be out there with her anyway? This. They're not managers. They're not agents. They're not "advocates." They're not paid bodyguards. They're not valets. They're not handlers. They're just nuisances. There's absolutely no kayfabe reason for TK not to say, "Okay, that's it, no more non-managers/bodyguards/etc./whatever at ringside." It might even help if Hayter and Rebel didn't have to interfere in EVERY Baker match (less the occasional squash on Dark).

The interference has been hit or miss in its success anyway, literally it failed tonight repeatedly.

It also succeeded repeatedly, like Riho not being able to execute her diving stomp on the apron because Baker was being covered. You could argue that that literally changed the course of the match, every bit as much as that missed pass interference changed who represented the NFC in the Super Bowl 3 years ago. "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes"? Like, winning every title defense? Seems like a pretty good prize to me.

She's had to wrestle more, she's been getting close to losing more, and has had ongoing tensions wiith Hayter, so while she's retaining I feel like any notion of an unstoppable aura is fading from her, and her reign is on borrowed time.

The interference is overkill and doesn’t make logical sense that the refs and AEW management allow it, and that faces don’t try to even up the odds when it’s pretty much a guarantee to happen. I think someone mentioned it earlier, but it’s starting to feel like Mahal’s title matches.

It succeeded because Britt still won the match and the interference still put Riho at a disadvantage that she never recovered from.
Though I think Rebel is technically Britt's assistant (and, out of kayfabe, she gives her the glove for her submission finisher so she can do it without putting herself or her opponent at additional risk for any sort of infection), so even if TK established those rules, she'd still be allowed ringside. And Britt would make up some official-sounding title for Hayter to be out there, too. That's missing the forest for the trees.

It would take SO LITTLE EFFORT to establish that--"I have a legal injunction establishing Rebel as my paid 'glove-handler' and therefore for my own safety and the safety of my opponent, she has a right to be at ringside." Classic disingenuous lawyering heel bull****. But Tony and AEW want to skip to the ends without justifying the means.

I just see that as completely unnecessary because you're not actually addressing the core problem of interference. You're only adding a pedantic layer to it. AEW's rules let whoever be out there (and, as far as I know, every wrestling promotion I've watched since I started watching wrestling has never split hairs in such a way, or if they did, it was conveniently forgotten unless they remembered it existed for the purposes of story), but it's also up to the refs to be wise to it as well as babyfaces to know the rules apply the same for them and actually even things up.
