Besides Hogan long reign, Man was every reign like at best two weeks minus a few that lasted maybe 150 days. Most reigns were 1-8 days.

No company has ever or probably will ever book a world title worse than WCW did in 2000.
The peak was April-May. Jarrett wins the vacant title. Loses it to DDP a week or two later. DDP somehow loses it to David Arquette on the next show. Arquette screws over DDP and willingly hands the title to Jarrett. Jarrett seemingly loses the the title to Sting the next night only for it to be revealed the title wasn’t even on the line. He loses it for real the next week to Flair. Flair has some kind of medical emergency and is stripped of the title. Nash wins the vacant title but then gives it back to Flair on the next show who immediately loses it back to Jarrett. All of this happened in the span of about 6 weeks.
It got so bad that when Booker won it his reign felt like a breath of fresh air and stability despite the fact he only held it for a month.

Even Booker's reign had issues. Like a week in, he loses to Goldberg in a title match where Stevie Ray throws in the towel because he's stuck in an arm bar. He retained the title because he didn't quit which doesn't make any sense and man did that make him look weak.

Randy Savage having two World Title reigns that lasted one day before dropping the title to Hogan was some absolute bullshit.
Of course, you have the aforementioned clusterf*** of 2000. But even in 1999, there was nonsense like DDP winning the title at Spring Stampede, then losing it to Sting on Nitro 15 days later, only to win it back in 4-Way that same night, then losing it to Nash 13 days later. And of course, BS like the finger poke of doom and Flair pinning Hogan in a first blood barbed wire cage match. And keep in mind, this was all pre-Russo!!

It still completely blows my mind and flabbergasts me that Goldberg only held the WCW World Title once.

It was originally Hogan vs Sting at Halloween Havoc '99, Hogan came out in street clothes and laid down for Sting to pin him. Sting was peeved and demanded another fight, so Goldberg stepped up. Earlier in the night he had won the U.S title from Sid Vicious. The commentators told the viewers at home this was a non-title match, only for Goldberg to be declared the new champion after he beat Sting. This led to the controversy that set up the world title tournament that crowned Bret Hart the champion at the next PPV, Mayhem.

By the time Hogan returned, Russo was already outed from creative, at least until the April reboot. In other words, LOL BROTHER DUDE JACK.

I should mention that the WWF title in 1999 wasn't that much better. Like between Summerslam and Unforgiven it went Austin->Mankind->HHH->Vince->vacant->HHH.

Russo's influence was everywhere in 1999.

The list of champs on Wiki from September 1999 to April 2000 is freaking incredible:
Sting Vacated Bret Hart Vacated Bret Hart Vacated Chris Benoit Vacated Sid Vacated Nash Sid Vacated JJ DDP David Arquette.

Also, every Hogan reign compared to those around each one:
Flair (87 days) Hogan (469 days) Giant (8 days) VACANT (20 days) Savage (31 days) Flair (26 days) Savage (20 days) Flair (71 days) The Giant (110 days) Hogan (359 days) Luger (5 days) Hogan (141 days) Sting (11 days) VACANT (45 days) Sting (56 days) Savage (1 day) Hogan (77 days) Goldberg (174 days) Nash (8 days) Hogan (69 days) Flair (28 days) DDP (15 days) Sting (<1 day) DDP (13 days) Nash (63 days) Savage (1 day) Hogan (62) Sting (43 days)
After that, the longest reign of the Turner era was Scott Steiner at 120 days. All reigns in between lasted between <1 day and 77 days. Prior to Hogan's first run, Vader had the longest run, at 285 days.

In 2000, Booker, Storm, Awesome and Steiner should've traded the World title and THAT'S IT. No one else really deserved the belt at this point.

I feel like Jarrett WOULD have been a decent world champion, but they both overpushed him and made him look weak in typical WCW fashion.
Steiner and Booker helped the world title scene some, but good lord, it was trash. Shame DDP was kind of trash as a main eventer, too, but like with Jarrett, a lot of that was out of his hands.
