The fall of 1998 belonged to the bugs, but which one crawled away with your heart?
Please answer before I get break out more insect puns.

Antz had a decent story I thought, though Bug’s Life wasn’t bad either really (it’s based off Seven Samurai). Both had good voice acting (and yes, the voices for Antz’s hero and Bugs’s villain turned out to be pretty notorious, but their personal stuff aside I can’t say they did a bad job in their roles).
I think I lean more Bug’s Life because even though it’s early Pixar, it just looks way better, cuter and smoother IMO than Antz with a way more interesting color palette.

They were both good, Antz was just better.
13 year old me appreciated the slightly grittier approach vs. the really cutesy Pixar style.

Antz is the better movie for me. If I wanted a comedic take on Seven Samurai, I'd just watch Three Amigos instead.

Both have merit, but I prefer A Bug's Life by virtue of no Woody Allen.

In a contest between two films, one of which stars Woody Allen, I'll go for the one without Woody Allen.

Bro, a Bugs life (with the exception of Hopper and even that’s tainted now) f***ing sucked.
I’ve held into the belief Antz was better since being a kid.

Ah, but Antz has no Kevin Spacey. As the villain, with considerably less screen time. Also Woody Allen's allegations and actual marriage pre-date the film, but they put him as the lead in a kids movie anyway. They both suck, but lesser evils and all that.

I haven’t seen either movie since I was a young child, but I remember bugs life more fondly.

Ah, but Antz has no Kevin Spacey. This is true. I guess the difference maker is that Woody Allen is much more present in Antz.

I am amazed at how close this poll is.
These days both are unwatchably ugly movies. Antz was ugly even then.

I remember that they looked different, but I don't even recall the plot of either one.
When it comes to CGI movies I'm like my parents and superhero movies: It all seems like the same thing to me even though its not.

I do miss the days when you could say "Well Antz has a sexual predator so Bugs Life wins there"

I saw both in theaters but haven't seen them since and retain very little memory of either. I know A Bug's Life has that little movie in the Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom, and that was fine, I guess.
