From PWInsider:
The internal changes to the WWE NXT brand continue.
Going forward, the NXT creative team will not be operating independently, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources. Before, under the Paul Levesque regime, the NXT Creative team had been autonomous in nature, operating as a separate bubble within the company. As part of the changes made last week that unraveled that era of NXT with WWE cutting the majority of the team Levesque had assembled over the years while building the NXT brand, that will no longer be the case, at least short term.
PWInsider.com has learned the NXT Creative team has been informed that for now, they will now fall under the purview of Bruce Prichard and Christine Lubrano, directly reporting and answering to them, consistent to how the Raw and Smackdown Creative Teams each operate. The days of NXT being a separate little pocket within WWE look to be over.
With the departures of others from the creative team, PWInsider.com has also confirmed that going forward, Johnny Russo will be heading the NXT writing team under Prichard and Lubrano's supervision. Russo joined WWE back in October 2011 and worked on the Raw and Smackdown brand creative teams from 2015-2018 before being promoted to the role of Senior Creative Writer/Producer in August 2018. Russo has been working on the WWE NXT creative side since August 2019 and became NXT Lead Writer in July 2020. Since I know SOMEONE will ask this, he has no relation to Vince Russo.
Dewey Foley, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley and Anthony Golden Jr. also remain on NXT Creative, PWInsider.com has confirmed. Foley has been overseeing 205 Live for some time now. Golden Jr. has been with the company since March 2021 and has a theatrical background with a Masters Degrees in acting as well as a Masters in Film and Television Production.

My interest has already taken a hit with Breakker winning … this isn’t ideal. My Tuesdays might open up.

All stuff I predicted would happen back when they announced 2.0 would happen.
Good or bad? it's really a perspective thing. Good for the synergy of WWE, but fans of Black and Gold will say bad

As if the NXT womens division in particular hasn't been completely borked lately before this is the nail in the coffin.

Honestly if NXT was supposed to be developmental they should have been working together with the main roster in their first place rather than being siloed off.
But under Prichard I don't think that is a good thing.

Considering some of the stuff Pritchard has said about women, particularly Asian ones on his podcasts, I have a feeling Io and Sarray are gonna be on their way out very soon.

Seriously though… Hasn’t it already been a Prichard thing since the reboot started? I doubt there’s going to be THAT much more of a shift than there already was.

Basically Vince and co told HBK/the NXT crew what the new direction they wanted was to be, I’m sure who to push, etc but the day to day was still HBK and his crew.

I mean the direction from the higher ups was to present a more "mature" product that pushes boundries. Sorta. So of course they would focus on the sex stuff. Problem is that younger fans do not care about that. Pretty sure Vince and folk told HBK to push Mandy or something as a result of it.

I’ll just keep banging my “Why the f*** wasn’t this shit happening from 2012 onwards?” drum until it breaks.

I’ve listened to just about every one of his shows and I don’t recall anything salacious. This was shortly after the Kabuki Warriors actually formed, but basically he said he doesn't understand the appeal of Asian women, and sees them as "kabukish". It's also noteworthy that while the Kabuki Warriors on Smackdown, they were treated like complete jokes, and booked incredibly poorly. This was under Pritchard's watch. Paige has vented several times about how pissed off she was at their booking under Pritchard. When they were drafted over to RAW, they were immediately booked much more like a threat, and that was under Heyman's watch. Once Pritchard took over RAW as well, their stock fell dramatically again, and supposedly the only reason Asuka got the RAW title during the pandemic is because she was willing to fly out every week, and Vince liked her work ethic.

But that’s just the thing, if the whole reboot was based on “Vince wants it like this now”, Prichard isn’t going to deviate from that.

So we got NXT having to anwser to Pritchard and a woman whose creds from what I gather from IMDB are pretty much all in documentaries. www.imdb.com/name/nm1731008/I am confident we are totally driving on the wrong side of the road on this one.

Because if we all know what the kids like nowadays, it’s 60 year old Bruce Prichard.
