8, I think. I like that it moved things forward. Lance Archer vs Hangman sounds fun.

Gave it an 8/10
No 5 star standout match but a lot of future Storylines and feuds were set up, lots of homegrown talent were featured and we got a big debut and a big return, so a big thumbs up from me. The bigger episodes will come in the buildup to revolution.

Did anyone else think Serena Deeb was going to clobber Aubrey in that post-match? In a way, I'm glad they didn't use that spot tonight and I hope they're saving it. Somebody actually laying Aubrey out is going to be a BIG deal if/when it happens, but it's the kind of thing they need to save for when the time is right because they kind of only get one crack at it for it to mean something. Yeah I think that'd be a badass move, and I could see that happening and it getting a major reaction I think the logical path here is gonna be Serena taking out Blue, Anna, and Conti, maybe on her way to a TBS Title match... she'd be an out of left field challenger for Jade, but it's not out of the realm of possibility if they build her up and this is a great start

The first half of the show was kind of meh to me, and I really, really don’t like Lio Rush apparently being replaced with Jay Lethal. I’ll reserve judgment and see if they go anywhere with that, but as of right now I’m pretty bummed. The second half of the show was great, and wrestling-wise the main event was stellar. Also liked a lot of the story development tonight. So, a 7. not sure what the deal is with lio being replaced. Maybe being punished for speaking up during the TK/Swole drama

I like the weekly shows to be more storyline driven than long matches, so I liked tonight's show with the exception of the main event which I thought was disappointing (more so due to Sammy). They advanced a lot of feuds on this show, and we might look back on this as being the star making show for Wardlow.

If you check Lios twitter account, seems that he is going to hiatus again.

Maybe being punished for speaking up during the TK/Swole drama That’s immediately where my head went too, but I really hope that’s not the case because punishing someone for speaking up against something they felt was wrong would be a difficult one for me to just look past, particularly after Lio’s seemingly very level-headed post on New Year’s Day, which really made it seem like he and Tony Khan had a productive conversation about representation issues in AEW. I know that Lio had some family issues going on recently, so I’m really crossing my fingers it’s just that, and he’ll join up with Dante and Lethal here in the next few weeks. Because if he’s just been outright replaced by Lethal in the storyline that’s going to leave the sourest taste in my mouth of anything that’s ever happened in AEW’s short existence.

Because he’s wrestling for NJPW and seemingly GCW in the next few weeks.

Lio probably should've handled it with TK more privately, but yeah agree it would be harsh if this was a form of punishment

Way too much talking. Felt dangerously close to a WWE show. It wasn't awful, but I'm going to need less promos and more in-ring time.

And Tay as Cargill challenger makes more sense. Skye blue can take a loss but then leave it at that ffs

Its pretty much like Brian Cage.
Cage and Melissa complained online, result was Cage being off tv and not used ever again, thats how I assume the same happened to Lio after that Swole debacle.

Back on topic, I give the show an 8 because not only we got Brody and Archer back but also the Inner Circle and HFO are about to collapse soon which is a huge positive.

I'm thinking Hangman/Archer at Beach Break. I'm on board with that, nice little feud to bide time before Revolution

There’s such a massive difference between Brian Cage’s wife complaining about his spot on the card, and Cage himself wrestling for XPW, wearing an antivax and pro-steroid shirt, and making a Chris Benoit joke and Lio expressing his disapproval of TK calling his friend a bad wrestler. Particularly after Lio’s New Year’s post, I’d be severely disappointed if he’s being punished for that.

Lio had been off TV weeks prior to that incident and when Dante swerved Taz, Lio was nowhere to be found. It looks like they pivoted off that angle before any of the Swole business occurred.
