Tonight Vince threatened to kick the shit out of Austin Theory if he lost a match and then "knock his teeth out and mail them to his mother" What I'm saying is, maybe he should shut up lmfao Yeah, but it's okay if he says it instead of actually does it. Most of the audience that WWE has left are old men who can't hear well anyway.

I’m not a WWE stan by any means, nor am I an AEW defender either.
With that said, there is some merit to WWE’s criticism of veering into a more gratuitous product that is prone to exploit graphic blood and gore with noticeable examples being the women’s tag team match and Cody Rhodes going through a flamming table.
Those types of so-called “self-mutilation” aren’t for every one, sponsors and fans alike, but it is one of the many things that helps AEW differentiate its product from the WWE’s.
Personally, my days of enjoying “hardcore” wrestling are long behind me, but I’m well aware there are a lot of fans that pine for the glory days of ECW and I’m glad they have (to a degree) AEW to help fill that niche for them.
In closing, until the WWE ceases to take Saudi Arabia blood money… I feel like they’re not any in position to cast stones even if their product is deemed the more family friendly of the two.

I agree with this take. Like, yes, men and women bleeding all over TV probably isn't for everyone and I could understand why some sponsors and others might be a little hesitant about watching it or letting their kids watch it. It's not WWE's critique to make, though.

Also let’s be honest, it is likely not at all coincidental that WWE made this criticism about a WOMEN’S match with blood.
Did you see how the women were booked on Raw last night? Or how NXT 2.0 was marketed?
They’re definitely playing into double standards here.

Women bleeding is offensive, women being sex objects? Why that's good wholesome American values!

If it wasn’t for sponsors and stockholders, I’m sure Vince would be having Charlotte, Becky, etc in a crazy bloody street fight too.

One of the very understated elements of the CM Punk Art of Wrestling interview that really stuck with me after my listen was Punk talking about Vince being outraged at the idea UFC was starting to showcase female fighters. Both because it tracks with Vince's continued Things About Women, and because obviously a few years later WWE was desperate to suck any last lingering drop of clout or notoriety was left in Ronda Rousey's veins, and Vince's own daughter and stepson were at the forefront of that showcase. The longer time goes on, the more interesting that little tidbit becomes because it reveals a lot about Vince and a lot about the ways he's making money off of women's wrestling and the supposed 'evolution' of it his company has overseen.

I guess trademarking a name that was the same as a u-boat commander they self-inflictedly shoved this under the rug

You're always gonna get this "Do as I say, not as I do" potkettle from Vince, it's not really worth validating.

Caster referencing it in the rap was the best kind of way to do it and leave it at that

Yes, absolutely the best way to reference it. The Acclaimed mock everything so they can get away with it without making it a big deal.
