Ali should just do a shoot interview. What is WWE going to do, fire him?

the most bizzare thing of all of this is clearly someone in the WWE see Ali having star potential... but ... then they also don't want to actually use him...

Ali should just do a shoot interview. What is WWE going to do, fire him? Sue him for breach of contract and try to starve him like they did Punk, except Ali doesn't have nearly the name or resources to not be able to collect a paycheck in this business for years.

Still think he should speak up on the angle that set it all off, especially if it goes that route of being distasteful

Somebody in mainstream media is going to pick this up, Vince is not well loved in those circles, it could even be a feature on Islamophobia in pro wrestling (Hassan gimmick, Zayn banned from Saudi shows for being the "wrong type" of Muslim ect).

Ali is one of those guys who is simply better as a face.
Just bring him back and forget his heel run ever happened.

Oh, they want to use him, it's just the star potential they see in him is getting regimmicked into Osama McIsis. They think if they cling to him long enough, he'll crack and take the role to get back on TV. And it'll kill his career and Vince will get bored with the idea after a month and fire him anyway, but until then I'm sure McMahon's absolutely fixated on the idea that this will be a Big Thing.

Kind of wonder why they let Toni Storm leave when she asked for her release, yet they won’t let Ali go when he asks for a release. If the guy is unhappy, just let go if he doesn’t want to be there. And even if he has years, all they are gonna do is waste him even more. Because they aren’t gonna actually push him, so there really is no point. The let Toni Storm leave because she really didn’t give them a choice on the matter

I mean, they've pushed Roman Reigns harder than almost anyone else in memory, and he could up and leave tomorrow and it also wouldn't make much difference to them busines wise. It just comes off as petty and vindictive.

This company sees star potential in a lot of people but that doesn't stop them from pushing Reigns, Lesnar, Ronda, Becky, Charlotte and Goldberg over them all. Ali's just one of the ones who's clearly more vocal so instead of using him they wanna not use him to "punish him" because they're petty like that. I'm sure in their eyes if Ali kept quiet and did what others did he'd be used more.
He'd probably be 24/7 champion.

Dude's getting an interview on the John Oliver show for their WWE part 2 episode (which ends up being about contracted employment in general). 100%. Callin' it now.
Though, with Vince's whole idea that featuring material like terrorist Ali or Joe Gacy will invite outrage, which will in turn invite Mainstream Interest, that's kinda undone by the fact that his real-life shitty behavior hasn't sparked much outrage and in turn mainstream interest.

You know the crazy thing about the Gacy thing? For as much as we all eye-rolled at it, it did get mainstream attention. Their instinctual reaction to that? Backtrack. And then you hear about how they actually liked the attention they got so want to try it again? You can’t have it both ways, especially considering it probably factors into barely anyone watching the damn show now.

The sad thing is that outside of outrage manufacturers like Nancy Grace, John Oliver is the closest thing to a mainstream outlet that covers these sorts of things.

has he tried grabbing Vince's forearm He should agree to come back, set up a meeting with Vince, and just sneeze right on him.
