has he tried grabbing Vince's forearm He should agree to come back, set up a meeting with Vince, and just sneeze right on him. Sneeze on him then shit in Vince's personal bathroom.

Dude's getting an interview on the John Oliver show for their WWE part 2 episode (which ends up being about contracted employment in general). 100%. Callin' it now. Though, with Vince's whole idea that featuring material like terrorist Ali or Joe Gacy will invite outrage, which will in turn invite Mainstream Interest, that's kinda undone by the fact that his real-life shitty behavior hasn't sparked much outrage and in turn mainstream interest. The sad thing is that outside of outrage manufacturers like Nancy Grace, John Oliver is the closest thing to a mainstream outlet that covers these sorts of things. Yeah, and his last big outrage at the WWE lead to... like literally nothing. Since, basically most people don't seem to care what scummy things the WWE are doing... my guess is because they just assume since they're a wrestling show they're doing worse

Ali is and has always been that dude, and that is a huge chunk of why Vince is punishing him and trying to break his spirit.

Ali does seem like a genuinely good dude. I always loved that he donated his Saudi pay to charities.

Not everything is just about WWE, he has to careful how he'll look to others or how WWE could try and make him look in certain circles, irregardless of how successful or not they'd be in that.

Genuine question: Sued for what? And I think you're drastically overestimating the extent to which anyone in the world outside of wrestling would even notice that he did that.

Hell, John Oliver said that pretty bluntly on two different occasions and he didn’t get sued and HBO was sued by a petty oil billionaire who hates Squirrels.

The ACLU brief in that case was brilliant, even the headings "The Ridiculous Case at Hand" "Anyone Can Legally Say "Eat Shit, Bob!" www.documentcloud.org/documents/3911409-Wvnd-19902323086.html

I would assume any contract he's signed will have a no defamation of the company clause. So if he went hard after them, they could do the same back. And, I dont think so. These top level executives all seem to float in and out of the same companies and all know each other and all have relatively aligned views of money trumps morals. If people want to do business, they want followers, not 'trouble makers'

Yeah it would have to be a non-disparagement clause of some sort, rather than anything related to defamation.

Fightful is reporting that Mustafa Ali could be returning to television, potentially as soon as RAW tomorrow night.
The scuttlebutt I’d heard around the place was Edge had been pitching for Ali to be a part of his new group, but who knows.
