Someone on twitter said "WWE did the right thing and booked smartly" Uh what? There's a group who will praise everything WWE does and attack anyone who questions anything. You can usually find them replying to Bryan Alvarez.

I was okay with Shane in the Rumble. Bottom 3? No. Balor, Cesaro, Apollo and a few NXT guys like Ciampa and LA Knight would've been much better options than the likes of Madcap Moss, Ridge Holland, Street Profits, Alpha Academy, etc. Those selection of wrestlers were brutal. No wonder the crowd were f***ing dead. They probably think Madcap Moss is a future world champ.

Things I Liked: - Ivory Right To Censoring it up - Kelly Kelly still not able to run the ropes - Mickie avenges the "Piggy James" storyline 53 years later by eliminating McCool - The amount of time Tamina was just...there.
- Seeing some random dude named Ridge Holloway or whatever and then watching him randomly survive for what felt like forever - Sheamus arrives at the ring just in time to literally have his protégé land at his feet eliminated. - Boogs reminding me of World Strongest Man and former WCW Wrestler Bill Kazmaier. - Chad Gable has a plan. Austin Theory wants to know if there is another plan. - Drew McIntyre mauling Corbin and that other guy, eliminating them, and then re-mauling them.
Things I Didn't Like: - The Winners of Both Rumbles - The ending sequences of both rumbles - I don't remember a daggone thing Bianca Belair did. Nothing memorable at all. Rhea Ripley at least got the Ivory moment. - You apparently only get to use your "Reggie Saves" card once. - Seeing that someone thought Kofi's 14th Rumble needed and elaborate nonsense spot when it should signify the amount of time that has passed since his first stunt and realize he's not 26 anymore. - "I talked to Montez Ford earlier today and he told me he was excited to shine in the Rumble tonight." Ford barely does anything, eliminated relatively quickly. - I don't have a clue what "The Damien" of Damien Priest is because he got murked by the bigger man Omos. - the realization of what Bobby Roode has become - Shane McMahon?! - How obvious the segments of the match felt. It was an anthology presentation with the Rumble match as a wrap around. Individual stories that didn't interact at all and ended on their own terms before moving onto another one.

They weren't good but they also weren't 0/10 bad. I'm thinking the men's match will likely be a bottom five Rumble. Not the worst of all time but not very memorable either. No one was "made" apart from maybe Bad Bunny (who we already knew was one of the better wrestling celebrities anyway). So much for the heavily rumored "star making performance" for Austin Theory. I guess that must have been in the draft Vince tore up last week. It's tough to gauge where the women's match will land once more happen, but I didn't much mind it. Pretty average, very heavy on nostalgia and limited due to recent cuts. It was pretty much what I expected (also Mickie wearing the Impact Women's Title to the ring was legit awesome). All of This is a very agreeable objective take.

Alvarez always gets me laughing because he will literally talk about how bad shows are and how the writers kids should have spikes rammed in their buttholes for how bad this is and Dave will just be like...yea it wasn't good but it's what they do. Then I get to read about how Meltzer hates WWE.

Ronda / Charlotte is a muuuuch better idea if only because Ronda After The Shine's Off And She's Already Been Documented To Fall Apart When The Crowd Reacts Unexpectedly vs. Becky While They're Still Trying Desperately To Get People To Boo Her When They Don't Want To sounds like an utter f***ing trainwreck.

So many jobbers in the men's Rumble match. Imagine the 95 Rumble but HBK, Bulldog, and Luger all came out near the end and that's this Rumble. At least the 95 jobbers had some wrestlecrap gimmicks. Are you equating The Street Profits to Well Dunn? haha.

Charlotte will at least play ball and run with the punches even if she somehow gets cheered over Ronda Putting her against Becky where she can be even more ruthless than before is a recipe for trainwreck

I wasn’t expecting Paige or Bayley. But where was Asuka or Bliss?
They could have had Belair win it and just have Rhonda and Flair eliminate each other.

She is absolutely a budget cut waiting to happen… which is unfortunate because I think she’s really trying. It really is sad how Vince has buried her career. I really hope she ends up in AEW, although I kinda hope she doesn't get saddled with Ruby again as I think Ruby has been very underwhelming in her time in AEW so far. She can potentially be a face of any company and like you made a good point she's trying and getting better. Only around 26 and nowhere near her prime. Liv Morgan was born 10 years too late; otherwise she would have been a multiple time world champion in the Divas era. I didn’t watch BTW and I’m glad I skipped it. I can’t remember who said this, or if it was anonymous, but one of the budget cuts said it doesn’t matter how hard you improve your work, it’s a “who you know” environment. So if you don’t have family ties or you’re not banging someone with influence on the roster or backstage, you’ll never advance beyond mid-tier status.

So often Alvarez will lose his mind pointing out how horrendous WWE booking is and Dave will just shrug his shoulders and move on. It takes something truly disastrous like Seth Rollins vs The Fiend at HIAC for Meltzer to really tear into WWE. It's very rare.

I mean more in the biting satire about the product stuff. You get the Meltzer who accepts things or at least thinks like Vince with booking on one hand and then you get…that.

Meltzer is basically apathetic, he responds to Bryan like, you know this is what they do and who they are, why are you getting mad?
