Women had more "star power" but it was introduce legend and eliminated in 10 seconds
The Mens rumble went by like a blur and the final stakes had no drama whatsoever

The Women’s Rumble wasn’t great, but it was TONS better than the abomination that was the men’s rumble.

Both winners were the wrong choices. Like very wrong choices. Ronda looked absolutely god awful tonight, and Brock is a free agent last I checked, so he can show up on any brand he wants, so him winning the Rumble wasn't necessary.
I'm glad WWE is back to its weird MMA fetish proving that time is a flat circle. It didn't work last time, it won't work this time either.

Sad thing is there's assholes saying it was great because Brock won JUST BECAUSE BROCK WON.
No. Shut the f*** up.

I was at work for the Women's Rumble, but the Men's was easily the most midcard Rumble since 2012.

Way to make me yearn for the days of the 2015 Rumble, what an absolute f***ing disaster in every way, Brock winning is old and stupid, Ronda winning shits on the entire women's division, there feels like no future and no current or new stars were really made or looked good coming out of this... it was just a disaster.

If you want to put into perspective the damage WWE has done to its female roster, half the entrants in tonight's Rumble weren't active competitors on Raw or SD (and of course none from NXT).
That's how gutted things have gotten.

I was hype in a like "well it's the Rumble it'll at least be some fun" and there was some fun to be had but man so much of it was just [FARTS]
I miss when they'd set up a WM singles match in the Rumble, like Angle/HBK or even freaking Lesnar/Goldberg in 04.

Women's Rumble was fun just to see all the ppl that came out, but lord the men's Rumble was goober after goober until like more than halfway in.

I just don’t understand the thinking of who was eliminating whom in some of the spots
RK-Bro eliminating Big E with ease is just a throwaway. I don’t even remember who the face was that the Bella’s eliminated (I think Liv) and then throwing the loser sign at them was great
This company blows ass currently and not in a good way

Both matches were pretty bad this year. Felt like a “classic” Tumble in the dirt worst ways

Just looking at the eliminations list I just find it headtilting that everything about the build to the men's seemed to suggest that Theory or Omos would go on some big elimination spree or something and then no, they both just kind of did little and got tossed unceremoniously.

C&P from main thread;
The women's rumble had some strange decisions but was okayish given the staffing problems (self-inflicted staffing problems).
Men's suffered from a neglected mid card who I don't care about, too much lying around and Brock ex machina. Bad Bunnies destroyer is the only memorable thing about it and it only finished ten minutes ago. Super Shane tossing Owens out with ease was also odd, guessing that's his mania match. Kofi botching one year was a matter of time, hope he doesn't get heat over it.
Both men's title matches were good and Becky & Doudrop did the best they could with to a distracted crowd, was taking a phone call for the mixed tag.

I haven’t really watched WWE at all since summer slam and I always get back into it for the Rumble. It’s my favorite event every year and I always at least enjoy the rumble matches themselves. Holy f***ing shit that was all so bad. Bad Bunny was pretty easily the best part of the mens match, and even though I’m a big fan of his that should definitely not be the case lmao. And the womens match had a few cool moments (Ivory, the Nikki/Molly confrontation, Mickie) but even that it shows how bad it’s gotten with their actual full time talent.
The whole thing just made me really sad. I’ve been a fan my whole life and if even the Rumble is unwatchable now there really is literally nothing left for me there.

I made the mistake of watching the 1990 Rumble this afternoon which A) was jam-packed with legends, in contrast to tonight’s Midcardapalooza and B) Set up half the big matches at Wrestlemania VI

That was the worst men's Rumble in years. Drew returning and mercifully killing Corbin and Moss and the celeb cameos were the only good things.

This is from the live thread after Roman beat Rollins… I guess I’ll post it here too. Soo… Roman costs Lesnar the match…. Lesnar steals a numbe and wins… got it

I think Bad Bunny might have gotten the most total eliminations other than Brock or f***ing Madcap Moss
