The match was okay, I liked that Lashley won though it was a bit confusing at the end as he was acting like a face though I thought he was a heel.

It should have been an awesome 10 minute sprint of two big guys beating the shit out of each other, instead it was super underwhelming even outside of the shit finish. Should've been like the Godberg/Brock match at WM 33, which is as close to a ***** 5 minute match as you're going to get.

It should have been an awesome 10 minute sprint of two big guys beating the shit out of each other, instead it was super underwhelming even outside of the shit finish. I remember feeling that way about Brock vs. Samoa Joe; it was the one match WWE could book that would get me to go out of my way to watch, they book it, the buildup is strong, and I'm expecting 10-15 minutes of just the two of them brutalizing each other, and...nah, didn't really get that at all. Didn't watch last night, but why did Heyman turn against Brock? I get he's still aligned with Roman, but wouldn't it be a good heel strategy for them to keep Lesnar as WWE champion, to ensure Brock is far less likely to challenge for Roman's belt at WM? Or did they just want to screw with him? I'd about bet that that finish was how Day One was supposed to end before Roman got the COVID. So they just rehashed it without any rhyme or reason

also he becomes the new WHAT excuse me? Its like that part in Wonder Woman 1984 where Maxwell Lord wished to become the Dreamstone. I was thinking of when Homer was fantasizing about winning the lottery and ended up being made of solid gold.

this match is what made me order the event
I loved the hype video
I thought the match was really good considering both time restraints and the ending
I really want to see Lesnar and Lashley go 20+ minutes now

also he becomes the new WHAT excuse me? Jim Cornette probably wouldn't be confused in the slightest to see a black dude as a non-sentient object

Disappointed but I remember Rollins saying Brock wasn't interested in having great match if it's going to end in schmozz (Undertaker interfered in that match), maybe the right decision because everyone talking about the finish

It was a weird one… Didn’t go badly like the matches with Strowman and Joe, but it never really hit that “F*** YEAH” higher gear like the Reigns WM31 match or the Goldberg WM33 match.
Lesnar always seems to be hit-and-miss against guys closer to his size for some reason. His best matches seem to be against the smaller guys fighting from underneath (Bryan, Balor, Styles, Rollins in 2019) or multi-man demolition derbies.

Sloppy ass german suplexes got me worried about Bob's shoulders.

Agree with the others that the Germans were sloppy and you'd think the two might have taken some time ahead to figure out how to take the moves. I thought Lesnar did a good job selling the full Nelson. What I can't connect with is the finish. Lashley is clearly being presented as a babyface, but he took the tainted win like he was the conquering hero.
Why not have the referee wake up to see Roman do the belt shot, call for the DQ on Lashley & have Brock force him to restart the match & lose clean to Lashley, but with the protection that he took the attack from Roman? You then get Lashley and Brock as your powerhouse faces for both shows & you can book everything clean moving forward.

I think he turned face at the beginning of the year when he saved Big E from a Rollins/Owens beatdown. It's weird the 3 title matches last night were face v face (Lesnar/Lashley), heel v heel (Becky/Doudrop) and heel v heel (Roman v Seth), although with the reactions he's been getting lately and how he was booked last night Seth is probably a face going forward.

It was okay, one of the better matches Beastie Boy has had against bigger opponents, though it never got into a higher gear and Lashley took none of those suplexes well.
Problem now is, who faces Lashley now? Is there anyone credible for him to face on Raw?

Bad endings ruin things all the time. Cause it's the topper... all the good stuff that came before is supposed to lead to something enjoyable... so if it leads to a bad ending most of the good work gets overshadowed or comes with a "But it ended like trash" I mean... look at how Game of Thrones went from being a cultural phenomenon to literally no one talking about it after the last season ended.

I wonder if Lashley is now going to be the delusional babyface champion who will claim he had a "hard fought battle" for the WWE title.

Goldberg/Lesnar at Mania 33 was the best match on that show and the right choice to be the Universal Championship match over Jericho/Owens (which ended up sucking) I’ll die on that hill.
