That was a really interesting match. It wasn't quite as hype of a two goliaths smashing at each other like Goldberg/Lesnar WM33, but it wasn't a slog like Goldberg/Lesnar WMXX. Even if it had a schmozz-y, Survivor Series 2002 "Heyman betrays Lesnar" finish, it was still cool that Lashley got the win here.
The real question coming out of this match is: Has Lashley ever learned how to take a German suplex before?!?

It was fine but Lesnar needs to chill with that German Suplex spamming.
It's taking the flow out of the match and draining the crowd.
It's pure laziness on his part. Like pretty much everything he does.

Yet we’re going on 8 years of the show being built around him. It’s so bad.

I thought Lashley looked completely second rate. And that's production's fault. You should not be getting a visual 10 count pin on the upcoming world champion unless they're a coward heel

They cracked the shit out of each other to start the match
I think the match should been more of a sprint but I liked what I saw and wouldn't have minded if they ran it back at another date. Lashley was taking those Germans bad tho. It was either on his neck or head. He isn't used to being man handled
Same with Brock as the German he took he was on his head

I thought the German Suplex landings were part of Brock working over Lashley's arm and that would lead to something, but then Lashley put in the hurt lock without issue and it never mattered again so nevermind. Anyways it was going fine until the ending, was enjoying it a fair amount.

I feel like they weren't expecting Lashley to get cheered and that's a rly stupid expectation cause dude got cheered beating Drew at Mania.

I'll do the same move 30 times in a row and then hit one F5." Awful.

And yeah watching that match it's clear either of these guys would be paralyzed versus Misawa. Those were some strange bumps

Also, didn’t they set up the feud for Lashley to be cheered? Like, that hype package back and forth seemed like it to me unless I’m really missing something. Also also, what kind of hoss fight ends in a ref bump and an ambush?

Lashley really did not come out of any of this looking good.
Leave it to WWE to finally do something many people have wanted to see for years, and do it poorly.

Started good, but it really started dragging after a few minutes and felt like the typical Suplex City Brock match. I'm just curious if they're going to keep Lashley as a face.

The disconnect to me is it seemed like a typical Brock and an underling match. Like Brock Vs anybody with the exception of maybe Roman. It should have been treated like Brock Vs Goldberg but absolutely wasn’t.

Lashley is someone whose credibility is already established, so I think he's fine, but like, you could say the same thing about Brock. If you're already going to have Brock win the Rumble, maybe have him be a little more generous here.
Either way, was fine. Not an embarrassment, not a show-stealer. Just, fine.

Modern Brock is the ultimate “you’ve seen one match, you’ve seen them all” wrestler. But, like, at least Ric Flair’s match was entertaining.

It was a weird sight to see Lashley walking to the back with a gigantic "I DID IT" smile, slapping hands with the fans, and outright celebrating considering how he won in a match where he was crushed and literally laid out for so long the crowd felt like their counting was looping.
I don't really watch, so if he's a heel...I guess I get it. But, he didn't seem presented like a heel.

It should've been too big guys slapping meat and hitting hard. Instead, we got Brock tossing him around like a Cruisweight and then losing cause of shananigans. It wasn't the Lashley/Brock match I dreamt up, let's just say that. But I'm glad Bobby got the strap.

it seemed like Lashley couldn't jump for the Germans or something... cause Brock looked like he was deadlifting for them and it kinda showed with how bright red he was... I kinda wondered if he was knocked loopy or something.
Match was... alright? I guess... the finish made the Royal Rumble kinda pointless (Even though they could have easily got Brock vs. Roman 612 like literally any other way if we wanted to.)
It also kinda shits on Seth with the way his match ended...
