Someone in the Rumble thread said that it was surprising how over Nakamura still is despite all the bad booking, so I'm wondering who else falls into this category?
And who is someone who used to be over, but because of bad booking, no longer is?

Asuka will probably return after being treated as a non-threat and pushed aside all the time and still be the most over woman short of Becky.
Someone that was over and booking ruined: Ziggler.

You might as well call it Kane Syndrome, because I can think of literally no other character in the history of the business who endured such atrociously awful booking over the course of 2 decades and still remained insanely over with audiences.

Rhea Ripley and Naomi both come to mind right away.

Literally everyone who is over is so in spite of bad booking, even the top stars. Roman could have been over like he is now from 2015-2019 if they booked him better. Becky Lynch was the most popular star in the company and instead of having a feelgood babyface comeback they turned her heel. Lesnar has been massively over since turning face then last night they have him eliminate hometown boy Randy Orton which anyone with half a brain knew would get boos. Why? You could easily have a heel do that to get the heat then Brock eliminates that person. And who is someone who used to be over, but because of bad booking, no longer is? Damien Priest was getting strong reactions when live crowds returned but the dumb Jekyll/Hyde thing has hurt him. Most weeks he gets little reaction now.

Liv isn't as over as she was around MITB, but she still gets decent reactions.

Before he was let go, Jeff Hardy was one of the most over guys on the roster despite taking a ton of losses on TV.

Finn Balor and Cesaro have a damn near unkillable fanbase for what they've had to endure for years.

I can just think of people who were over and WWE ruined:
Baron Corbin was one of the most over guys in NXT, squashing guys in seconds, and now he's "Happy"
Roman's face run... bout time they turned him heel. I couldn't take another month of that.
Damien Priest was over until the split-personality gimmick
but maybe it has to be Rick Boogs? Boogs has won the crowd over. R-Truth, even, has terrible booking and was in the 24/7 picture but the fans rallied behind him and his comedic gold to still get over.
Oh, and can we remember Damien Sandow's stunt double gimmick? That was supposed to put the nail in Sandow's coffin but he was still over.

Naomi is still over even with that never ending feud with Daddy Deville and going period of not being on TV

AJ Styles being one of favorites despite having done nothing of note since the Undertaker match and losing to Xavier Woods & Erik clean is a testament to his ability. He was the only decent entry in first 20 entrants lol

Miz’s second face run was actually working until he got Shaned
He’s since recovered though, and survived jobbing to a rapper, a pile of fake zombies and Jojo Siwa
AJ Styles survived Ellsworth, Omos and a literal burial.
Alexa Bliss became a child and ended up selling a lot of plushies

Charlotte gets good reactions and has a loyal social media following despite them making her female Reigns without the charisma and with a decline instead of an increase in match quality.

Hooking Shane's balls up to a car battery is obviously what needs to happen to get this new generation of wrestlers over.

Most of the ones that are over, I’d think.
