The takeaway from all this is that the fans don't matter to WWE.

The takeaway from all this is that the fans don't matter to WWE. They'd literally be profitable without selling tickets, fans don't matter.

I still feel like once they replace a majority of the "expensive" talent with their ludicrously cheap replacements it's gonna bite them in the ass hard. They're making money hand over fist now but eventually the line of rising profits from streamlining is gonna hit the lowering line of quality talent the fans care about. They can coast on four people now and be fine, but those lines are gonna cross at some point when you have Shanky/Omos main eventing PPVs.

Pigs get fed, hogs get slaughtered. WWE is the definition of a Hog. It's time is coming. I don't know why people keep thinking this. Every time people think this, WWE posts record profits. Replace Tom Brady with WWE in this meme, and you get the picture: That's how people are starting to sound with the whole "WWE is going to die or regret this any day now". Unless they commit an absolutely major blunder PR wise, the company is bulletproof. Because there will ALWAYS be people wanting to join the company thinking they could be big stars. It doesn't work that way, but hey I'm not going to change your mind.

It's less that I think WWE's gonna up and explode one day, all their hubris engulfing them in a deep flame, but there are gonna be consequences for this if they stay on this path. Hell, even just last week they had to scramble to get full rosters for their Rumbles because they fired so many people, then the reception for them was bad enough they actually did scapegoat stuff about it. It won't be "WWE goes under" tier consequences but they're not just gonna march through this without anything happening to them outside of record profits.

Things are going to eventually collapse and it will come from the quality end of things.
They are financially untouchable for now...but when Bork does not want to wrestle , Ronda does not want to or they figure out hey we can demand WAY more because WWE only cares about us and people like that start taking WWE to the bank because they have no one else.
Eventually the rubber will meet the road and someone wont wanna be throwing billions at a company main evented by Von Wagon Wheels.

I guarantee they'd say that they wouldn't have these issues if NXT had been done right and within a year NXT 2.0 will be putting 20+ wrestlers on the roster a year.

WWE does have a serious long term problem of fan retention. I honestly believe they've lost all ability to draw in new long term fans, so they have to work with the dwindling pool they have, and it keeps getting smaller each year. There's going to come to a point where they'll have to seriously address it, because one day that Saudi money will stop coming in, and Networks are going to start asking questions if the water in the pool keeps evaporating. The fact they can produce new and inexpensive weekly content won't mean much if relatively no one's around to watch it.
Mind you, this isn't going to happen any time soon. But all trends continuing as they are, it will happen.

And this is why the creative will not be improving anytime soon.
Vince only tries new stuff when he’s backed into a corner and feels like he NEEDS to. And they’re making more money than ever. So he had zero incentive to change how he’s doing things.
Sucks for fans and much of the talent there.

This and the Sapp report of "WWE Superstars say Morale within the company is at an all time low" coming out at basically the same time sure makes a lot of sense, lmfao

Combing through more comments..
Nick Khan on the Saudi events..."Why limit it to just 2?"
He also thinks they'll have more bidders for their tv shows in the next go around leading to a significant increase in tv revenue.

Even though Khan may have jeopardized the future for a record year these numbers cannot be understated during a freakin pandemic. Absolutely amazing how much of a foothold WWE has globally now compared to when I was growing up as a kid in the early 90s. The 202 million return to shareholders is insane.

That saudi line makes me feel like this is ending 1 way and that is the Saudis are gonna buy this company. Think I saw someone jokingly crunch the numbers...Saudis pay 50mil a show...so if they just moved WWE to saudi full time and did a show everyday that is 18 billion.
