Not like fuller house where there was a lot of anticipation for it.
More like say, Mr Iglesias, or the Ranch. The first, I only watched because I was binging Fluffy specials, and the other I completely had no idea about until Danny Masterson got arrested
And then, theres some random ass stuff that looks like it should be on cbs that had no buzz or advertising that you’d never know existed if it wasn’t randomly recommended to you?
I tried watching that show Pretty Smart and wow that is generic.
In general, I find sitcoms on Netflix kind of off. A studio audience, filmed an entire season of shows without any context of what they’re watching, and with no hype or buzz around it that just shows randomly on essentially direct to video service.

Seinfeld is a hit? Give him a wife. Mad About You is a hit? Give them children. Everybody Loves Raymond is a hit? Make it suck and you have Home Improvement.

I watched Pretty Smart, mainly to support one of the actresses on the show. It was a bit generic but it got better after the first couple of episodes. I didn't mind it.

Everybody Loves Raymond is a hit? Make it suck and you have Home Improvement. But Home Improvement came years before Raymond.

Tried Mr Iglesias since I love his stand up, also gave the Big Show's one a go.
They're just very.. of a type, that being C grade 1992.

I find their sitcoms to be very cringe. Fuller House was an exception, but for the most part, I can't sit through them. Not just the sitcoms, but a lot of their shows, really. I tried to watch the Kristen Bell series, "The Woman Across the Street from The House with The Girl in The Window" and had to keep pausing before just noping out altogether.
But on the other hand, I was enthralled by "Don't Look Up" and "We Summon The Darkness", so I don't know what I like anymore lol

Like, there was a little more "adult" humor/content tossed in, but their audience knew what it was getting

My wife and I binged The Ranch as COVID started just for shits and giggles and we didn't hate it. I couldn't tell you a character's name to this day, but it was fun enough for what it was.

I've always thought Comedy is the most difficult of TV/Movie Genre to make a lower quality version of. I can count on 1 hand the amount of Level B movie comedies I've seen where I didn't get bored and fall asleep/change the channel.
Bad comedy is just boring. At least bad action/horror has the level B cheese/camp factor going for it. And bad Drama/Romance works somehow because otherwise Hallmark Channel wouldn't exist.

A low Rotten Tomatoes rating, can make the ultimate decision. ... we usually watch. We're not monsters!!

I watched the Ranch. Super basic sitcom in a rural setting. Same tired jokes and cliches. I think the point of it is just so Netflix can have a little of everything on their service to encourage cord cutting.

I think the point of it is just so Netflix can have a little of everything on their service to encourage cord cutting. I feel that, outside of the Danny Masterson situation, the only notable thing about it is the over the top drama it introduces sometimes. My dad used to watch it, and I just remember walking through the room and just overhearing every tragedy they could throw at the characters in attempt to transcend the weak comedy, and it doesn't come across that it worked.
