I…..kinda dig it? I like that Monty, Chip and Zipper are fully 2D but Dale has gone for the full 3D CG upgrade, I dig the cameos and the premise looks good, it’s just going to be an adjustment hearing normal speed voices coming out their mouths rather than the sped up ones we’re more commonly used to The explanation for that was kind of funny and good to see them acknowledge the difference between 2D and CGI. |

Like, I sort of love the self-awareness that the whole idea has and going full-on into it, which I don't think Disney has really done since Enchanted. |

Points for having a somewhat novel premise, but I suspect if/when I see this I'll keep wishing I was watching an actual Rescue Rangers story rather than the meta narrative.
Also something I just realized; poor Bonkers. They do a film based on a show from Disney Afternoon Series about a well known cartoon celebrity who ends up trying to solve a major mystery/crime... and they decide to go with Rescue Rangers instead of you.

seems to me more like an original script that they just slapped Chip and Dale on... it looks alright... I guess... and I did like the gag of Chip trying to disguise himself only to grab Indiana Jones gear. >_>

I could go for a series, preferrably with the DuckTales reboot team behind it. EDIT: Actually, if this is as odious as it looks to some people, perhaps the one good thing is it'll be like Bayformers and be the gateway for the IP to be in other projects, maybe some good ones? |

It kinda sucks that Monty, Chip & Zipper are still clearly 3D models that have been textured to look 2D but there are multiple characters that actually do look 2D. I guess it's cheaper & easier to do the models like that instead of actually hand animating them.

Also, as for the MLP characters, I paused on them and you dont see their faces (the faces are covered by their manes), so there's a chance that this could be parody characters like Combat Carl in Toy Story.

This is the closest we've ever gotten and may ever get to a Roger Rabbit sequel, ladies and gents. Also interesting they're keeping whatever happened to Gadget post show hidden from us... Otherwise though...I dunno about this one. They have to go to Russia, where Gadget is the head of an exclusive group. And by head I mean "object of worship" I mean if we're being all meta and meme-y.... I was wondering why they didn't show Gadget in the trailer |
