If you go get revenge, know that you always do it for yourself, that it is a selfish act. Likely the victims weren't asked to be avenged and they sure don't want to be victimized again by the consequences of your own actions. So no, I understand his anger, his thoughts, but I don't think this is right even from a moral standpoint.

Yeah, if Cain took enough pre-caution to make sure that the molester was the only person he hurt, I would be all for slapping the dude on the wrist. Unfortunately, Cain put a couple innocent people in jeopardy, and could have also hit someone outside the vehicle with a bullet too. I wouldn’t call the mother innocent, she let a child get molested in her house while she was being paid to look after that child and keep them safe. The mother is absolutely culpable in this situation too. Had this gone to trial and he got convicted, I’d be shocked if she wasn’t insanely open to a civil lawsuit. If you’re a daycare worker, and especially if you’re the owner of said daycare, you’re top priority is keep the f***ing kids safe. She failed miserably at that at best, and was covering for/enabling her garbage human being of a son at worst. Who knows how many other kids this happened to under her watch considering this allegedly happened upwards to 100 times to Velasquez’s relative. However, no information has come out that would implicate the stepfather in any of this and he’s the one who took the bullet. And, as you said, Cain blatantly endangered other lives by having a 10 mile chase through San Jose and firing 8 rounds blindly at a vehicle. Dude f***ed up, and he’ll be spending a decent chunk of time behind bars. I imagine he plea bargains this down to only 2-3 charges, gets sentenced to 5-8 years and serves half that. The sad part is he’ll probably spend more time in jail then the child molester. What a shitty, f***ed up situation all around.

Removing any speculation on the case from the equation
If this guy was molesting his kids, and Cain had, say, shot just him with pinpoint accuracy so he died instantly without suffering
He goes to prison for murder and doesn't see his kids for decades, surely, or is at the very least at severe risk of that?
'How dare this person abuse my kids! Better vastly reduce the likelihood of seeing them any time soon'
Obviously rational thought was not involved, but like
Good job

Has it been proven the guy that he went after is guilty? There was a man in Connecticut 15 years ago who killed his neighbor over a similar accusation. When the police investigated it, they uncovered no evidence of abuse. The outcome? The man spent at least a decade behind bars ( he's at the end of his sentence now, probably got out earlier but I couldn't find anything about that) and wasn't able to raise his daughter in the formative years of her life, and also ruined the family of the man he murdered. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathon_Edington
