Dear Konami:
You've done some undeniably head scratching things over the years...however this is a very good first step in helping to get me to like you again.

TMNT and the games were a part of my childhood, so I'm looking forward to this. Now bring a Metal gear collection. I want a good Metal Gear 1 and 2 remake.

Such a beautiful, amazing announcement. If the original music is all in tact...and right now we have no reason to believe it won't be... I don't even know what to say. It's what dreams are made of. Actually....I am suspecting Arcade #1 may very well have that cover of the TMNT theme the Arcade 1UP version has.

Good job, Konami. Now can we have a Suikoden collection, or at least some PS4 digital rereleases?

I suspect modest collections are going to be a recurrent thing from Konami for a while. Contra Collection II, DS Castlevania Collection (with Rondo of Blood and/or Symphony of the Night?) and a Bomberman Collection; it wouldn't surprise me to see any of them in the next two years.

Game alone is $40 USD

Collection is phenomenal - absolute everything you could want and more.
The biggest surprise takeaway of the set for me though, was the second Game Boy TMNT game. If you've never played it, I HIGHLY recommend checking it out.
The tone and gameplay is a bit different from all the other games in the set as it's not a traditional beat 'em up or fighter or even Game Boy platformers like the Game Boy TMNT games that preceded and followed it. Rather, it's much closer to a Ninja Gaiden or Shinobi. The action is more about specific timing - adding to the challenge and fun factor - and it's the only Turtles game that really emphasizes doing actual Ninja shit in terms of moving through the levels.
So yeah, if you have the collection - or are curious about it - absolutely go out of your way to play the second Turtles Game Boy game.

This is definitely interesting. I can only remember my father ever playing videogames twice. He played Duck Hunt once and stopped at level 50 because he was bored (how he was that good, I have no idea). The other was he randomly played through Hyperstone Heist when I rented it one day. We actually beat it too. I don't know if he just wanted to spend time with me or what but it's a fond memory of him that I cherish. I might pick up this collection because it'd be fun but also for the memory.

Thanks to this collection I've been reminded of just how hair pullingly hard SNES Tournament Fighters can be.

I worked so hard to beat the NES Tournament Fighters and thought "Cool, now that I got the hang of this" and then SNES and Genesis kicked my caboose every which way but loose.
