WWF @ Providence, RI - Civic Center - February 4, 1989 (6,500) Jim Powers defeated the Conquistador Rick Rude pinned Pete Doherty WWF IC Champion the Ultimate Warrior pinned Ted Dibiase at 1:43 with a cradle after fighting off an interfering Virgil Andre the Giant defeated Jake Roberts via disqualification Mr. Perfect pinned the Blue Blazer at 17:37 with the Perfect Plex Greg Valentine pinned Jim Neidhart Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard defeated Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty
Back then I had no idea how big wrestlers were. I knew the big guys were big but I thought the smaller guys were the size of average adults so when I saw The Conquistador walk out with the broadest shoulders I seen to that point my 12 year old mind was blown never mind seeing Andre later in the night.

Curtis “Big Cat” Hughes vs “Diamond” Dallas Page from a WCW house show at the Municipal Auditorium in New Orleans in August of 1992. I was just thrilled to see wrestling live so they could have completely shit the bed ( and more than likely did) and I wouldn’t have cared. The rest of the card was pretty good. Sting beat Jake Robert’s by DQ and Rick Rude retained the US title against Nikita Koloff.

Opener was Hector Guerrero and somebody. The main event was the Armstrongs vs the Rock n Roll RPMs. I remember nothing in between except there was a masked guy.
It was one of Ron Fuller’s Pro Wrestling USA shows around ‘88 or so.

I've no idea what the match was but I'm pretty sure the opening segment was Eric Bischoff rambling about something before Austin came out and hit him with a stunner?

Lanny Poffo vs. Rene Goulet
It was a house show my uncle took me and my cousin to, at MSG on feb.17 1986. Funny thing is earlier in the day another one of my cousins took me to see the Globetrotters at MSG. Busy day I'll never forget lol.

Mo from Men on a Mission vs Steven Dunn (Steve Doll). For as much as people dog on MOM, Oscar knew how to get a crowd hyped, so it was a great choice for an opener.

So I didn't know at the time that my older cousin who brought us to the show was one of those "Park as far away as possible to save money and show up after the first match so it's not crowded getting in." so my first live match was:
Hillbilly Jim defeated the Honky Tonk Man (w/ Jimmy Hart) via disqualification at the 24-second mark after Honky attacked Jim from behind with Hart's megaphone after Jim became distracted by Hart, with Honky & Hart then further attacking Jim before leaving ringside; after Hillbilly got to his feet, he grabbed the mic and said he didn't want that type of victory and challenged Honky to come back out and continue the match, but the challenge went unanswered.
After the main event I realized "Hey, the show isn't over, we didn't see Greg Valentine vs. The Blue Blazer" and that's when my other cousins clued me in that it was the actual first match of the night. Owen Hart would later become one of my all-time favorite wrestlers and that was my only actual opportunity to see him live.
And for those super invested in the Hillbilly/Honky situation. Hillbilly came out again saying he wanted his rematch. During the intermission Finkel said it would be happening next month at the Meadowlands.

If I remember correctly...
WCW taping in Rainsville in 1990:
Tom Zenk and Brian Pillman vs (I can't remember). I believe it was for the US Tag Team Championship.

Scott Casey vs. Iron Mike Sharpe at the Meadowlands way back in 1988. Truly, as Gorilla Monsoon would say, a main event in any arena in the country.

A battle royal to determine who would face Bret Hart for the World Title at the end of the house show (and supposedly determine the other matches).
Match was won by the undefeated blue blood Hunter Hearst Helmsley who hid under the ring and won after The Undertaker finished eliminating everyone and stepped over the top rope to leave.
Match had a moment that has stuck with me forever where Diesel was thrown into the corner and sold a punch by sitting down and just chilling. I was young and a fan, so I noticed him and thought it was weird that he was just sitting there for so long (Now, I know it was Kevin Nash just chilling his way through). It went horribly wrong though when Yokozuna was doing his weeble wobble reaction to Undertaker uppercuts and lost his balance, tumbling into the corner.
I can still hear Kevin Nash's scream to this day.

Eric Mohammed Timmins (local super heavyweight who played a Sheikh Tugboat style character) won a battle royale against a bunch of guys who were part of a training seminar with AJ Styles earlier that day. One of the dudes, and the only guy with gear or ring presence, was Dominick Dijak.

Skinner vs. El Matador. I also can't believe that the WWF used to run Moline, IL every six months back in the early and mid 90s.
