He wouldn't have beaten Kemp if he'd tapped into his Damon side.

Hope this leads him to turning on Jiro because Jacking Time kinda sucks and Kushida deserves better

Next month, it's going to be 3 years since he signed with WWE. No idea how long a contract he was signed to, but it does make me wonder if they have some doubt he renew or something, or if they want to, since otherwise, he is better than this horseshit.

Dude very much feels like a holdover from the old NXT. He was always going to have a rough 2022 in the new rebranded NXT.

KUSHIDA, please leave.
If there was one wrestler I'd name that would benefit from leaving WWE, it is you.
Japan misses you and they are sorry for thinking you're anything but an amazing junior. They need you... badly.
Please, for your fans sake, get the f out of NXT hell!

That's the thing, I think KUSHIDA's problem was that he'd felt he'd done everything he could do as a Junior and wanted to move to heavyweight, with NJPW not wanting to use him as one. If he did come back, I guess it is a different ballgame than it was 3 years ago, with Robbie Eagles, El Desperado, and some others as major players. Or, he could team with Shelley again in Impact or otherwise. He has options, I'm sure.

Remember when Kushida came back to NXT barefoot an all and he was just on a f***ing tear and it looked like finally he was headed somewhere.
That was a century ago.

We want to see you burn it up with Sabre and Naito and Okada and Shingo." Sigh... I am not opposed to your Timesplitters reunion either. That also would be great! Anywhere is better than more time in NXT.

Thought this was going to be something even worse than jobbed out like Kushida being injured, or having a family emergency.

He finally had something going towards the very end but he did very little during his first 18 months for some reason. He was very much just a guy on the show.

I've been saying for years the Marty McFly cosplay limits his potential.
Fantastic performer, lame gimmick.

Kushida strikes me as someone who is not gonna re-up when the time comes... he wanted to do more, it's why he left New Japan, ironically because he wanted to be treated like a heavyweight, and all he's done in WWE is regress hard and be treated like a Cruiserweight even still... can't exactly say his time in the company has been worthwhile... I'd rather watch him be the Time Splitters again with Shelly than this...

I'm amazed anyone expected Kushida's WWE run to end up looking anyway other than this.

Until you said that, I forgot he even won the Cruiserweight Title. Who'd he beat? *looks it up* Santos Escobar. On April 13th of last year. OK. And he lost it to? *looks it up* Roderick Strong? On September 21st. Five months, KUSHIDA had the title and I don't f***ing remember any of it. If that doesn't sum up his NXT run in a nutshell, nothing does.

I won’t say I was excited to see KUSHIDA in NXT, but I was excited to see what he would do in a none NJPW ring. With Hiromu doing some heavyweight stuff, and the Junior division main event being repopulated, I’d like to see him back in NJPW in the NEVER division, or even the US title division. He could lean on his US excursion as an excuse to challenge for that title.
