Armageddon I always found enjoyable. I know how dumb it is, but it’s not boring by any stretch. It’s perfect late 90s cheese.

He has been more fortunate than a lot of these types. He got paid VERY well for the awful movies he was making, and I've never seen any suggestion he's had financial problems, so I assume he's been just wanting to leave Tallulah, Rumer, and Scout a nest egg, plus his two younger kids. I'd imagine that's going to be secure. I don't think the trash movies are going to harm his legacy much. They'll be brought up, sure, but people are going to primarily remember Moonlighting and films like Die Hard, Sixth Sense, The 5th Element, that sort of fare, along with movies like Looper that came later but were fairly warmly received. Hell, even outside of the BIG big stuff, you also get a lot of things like Armageddon, the Last Boy Scout, Hudson Hawk, the Jackal, or other things that weren't going to end up on anyone's top film lists, but have their adherents. There's also oddities like that PS1 game I forget the name of, plus his music career, but hey, we don't talk about Bruno. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) God damn it, I'm mad at myself for forgetting about The Sixth Sense. Between that and Unbreakable, M. Night basically owes his career to Bruce Willis when you think about it.

Looks like the obvious things have been called out. How about this? ![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e9/Bruno_the_Kid.jpg/250px-Bruno_the_Kid.jpg) I haven't watched it since it was new but I recall liking it. Looks like Glass was his last major theatrical release. I do recall some unsubstantiated rumors about his mental condition even back then from someone on reddit that claimed to have worked on that set. (Two other theatrical releases followed, "Motherless Brooklyn" and "Midnight in the Switchgrass" but not sure I'd describe either as major)

With my slagging off of the Razzies, I should say that they just announced they’re retracting the “award” they gave him earlier this year.
They also retracted Duval’s away from 1980 for The Shining. Yes, 42 YEARS LATER!

Yes, 42 YEARS LATER!Well that's progress. Honestly they should replace that second one with a "Worst Person" award for Kubrick for ruining her life.

Dulles Airport should pay their respects to Bruce by lighting one of their runways on fire.

Aphasia was also a comorbidity with Terry Jones's (of Monty Python fame) dementia (if not the primary presentation).

Well that certainly explains a lot, doesn't it?
I think he knew this was a long time coming.
I thought he was just being a dick in media interviews and getting let go from Expendables 3 for demanding more money, along with working a lot in the last decade.
But it makes sense and hope he remains as healthy as possible for as long as possible.
Thank you for the timeless entertainment sir!

Remember how the Razzies did a whole category about his recent films this year despite rumors of something like this being the case? They suck. Now they try back-peddling. A waste.

Dulles Airport should pay their respects to Bruce by lighting one of their runways on fire. Only if Robert Patrick brands someone "a sitting duck"

Bruce should be respected because he's the only guy who single handedly defeated an all star team of international terrorists while wearing no shoes.

Here's the full statement.
I don't have personal experience with this particular dementia but both my grandmas suffered from dementia in their later years and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

I've only had experience with my grandpa having Alzheimer's, but that was horrible to see. My heart goes out to Bruce Willis and his family.

Remember how the Razzies did a whole category about his recent films this year despite rumors of something like this being the case? They suck. Cracked also did a video last year bout "The 7 horrible movies Bruce Willis made in 2021" but right after it was posted word of his Aphasia hit the news. Cracked immediately pulled it down a re-edited it with a new intro and focused more jokes bout the movies themselves instead of at Willis

It did seem a bit odd how rather quickly he disappeared from the public eye with the initial diagnosis, but an FTD diagnosis makes a lot more sense, since the classic form of that disease isn't so much the memory loss of typical dementia so much as progressive uncharacteristic disinhibition. As in, "... vulgar speech characteristics, screaming, inability to control emotions, behavior, personality, and temperament are characteristic social display patterns," which is one thing when you're Bob from Accounting but another thing when you're remotely anybody that paparazzi and tabloids would love to see doing all that.
It sucks to hear, but I'm glad the family has something definitive to work from and to raise awareness about. For these sorts of things I feel like often just having a definitive diagnosis is its own sort of closure, versus a nonspecific, we-don't-know-what's-going-on sort of deterioration.

So, this is gonna sound sarcastic, or like a slam, but I promise it's not. My favorite Bruce Willis movie is Hudson Hawk. It's a hilarious, misguided mess of a movie, and I've always been grateful to Willis for having the brains to let Richard E. Grant and Sandra Bernhard team up as bad guys and absolutely DEVOUR the scenery, creating two of my favorite movie villains ever. I wish him and his family all the best.

Remember how the Razzies did a whole category about his recent films this year despite rumors of something like this being the case? They suck. That was pretty cold as it seemed common knowledge he was just doing as many movies as he could until he just couldn’t any longer.

I have a friend who is a massive film buff and studied it at uni and says technically it's a very well made film.
