It's a joint show with Control Your Narrative. All CYN shows are "joint" shows, I thought... Whether the "partner" promotion likes it or not.

I don't know if someone's going to make a separate thread for it yet, but the official announcement is an NJPWxAEW Supershow at the United Center in Chicago, IL called Forbidden Door. June 26th on PPV.

I just hope it isn’t just tag matches up and down the card like the New Japan joint show with NOAH at the Yokohama arena on January 8th.

You’ve gotta have some real stakes, even the ROH/NJPW MSG show had a couple “winner takes all” title matches

Dalton Castle wasn’t facing Tetsuya Naito.

I’m actually excited to see Naito’s response.
Everyone is talking about how everyone is waiting for this kind of show, and then there’s Naito like “What the f*** is AEW? Is that where Nakamura went?”

Interesting is that it seems like they are aligning the Undisputed Elite with the Bullet Club. Kenny and the Bucks could be a giant wild card in that or if the UE/Elite split happens, Cole and reDRagon become the AEW representatives of Bullet Club.

AEW fans, like myself, should have our our expectations set very high for this Super Show. This is an event which should be in AEW’s wheelhouse and it’s definitely important to their brand.
I expect this Super Show to be an annual event if it works financially for both sides and next year’s event will be placed in the Tokyo Dome.
Big time matches.
Big time stakes.
Big time players.
With long term storytelling.
But then again maybe I’m naive and I’m just setting myself up for pain.
However, I don’t think so. This is going to rock!

Cool for the people excited for it, though between not really caring much about NJPW and being the same week as Three Hopes and Nirvana Initiative this is a definite skip show for me. Hope it turns out well though.

I hope they do the movie theater showings for this show like Revolution and I'm guessing Double or Nothing. It was such a fun atmosphere for Revolution and I'd love to see it with a mix of NJPW and AEW fans (well, the ones outside the Venn diagram who like both anyway).

Will be interesting to see how they fit women on the card. It’s a big show so I could see it either being a title match or tag just to get as many names on it as possible.

AEW/NJPW/DDT/ROH supercard show in the Summer called "The Forbidden Door" is my guess. Worth noting that New Japan's Road to G1 tour ends 6/21, and the G1 itself begins 7/16, so there are three open weekends for them to have this event. Secondary guess is streaming deal. WOOP WOOP Excited for this, and the floor here is the MSG show (which I was also lucky enough to attend).
