This is a tough choice; I wanted to go to Chicago this summer to see the Mets play at Wrigley in July, but now I might have to try and go in late June, instead, when not only are the Mets not playing the Cubs, the Cubs aren't even home for me to just take a game in there for the sake of it.
My first world problems are officially overwhelming me now.

Said this in the live thread, but it's been a real power move to take "the forbidden door", the thing everyone calls the stigma around your company and its top guys in regards to a potential business partner, and manage to whittle away at the concept so hard it not only becomes shorthand for crossover stuff, but you get a co-branded show with that title slapped on the front. Meij leaving seems to have been a big part of that all too, but damn is it wild to see.

You can forever bank on the Cubs having home games but who knows how frequently a show like this will happen.

I’ve mentioned this before but, it bears repeating: I’m always shocked how confident and poised Jay White looks in these situations.
Largest American TV audience he’s ever had, and you’d think he was a weekly regular in AEW.

Forget the team in question (though they are exciting to watch with LouBob, Tim Anderson, Abreu, etc)….that is absolutely a part of Chicago you want to avoid at all costs. Like, driving on the Dan Ryan to get there is dangerous enough but once you’re there….in that part of Chicago….oooh boy. Good luck.

Will be interesting to see how they fit women on the card. It’s a big show so I could see it either being a title match or tag just to get as many names on it as possible. I know wrestling politics would normally make Stardom being a part of this a near-impossibility, even though they were part of the G1 Supercard with ROH. But would there be a situation where BushiRoad could force their hand about this?
I'd personally love to see a Kairi vs Thunder Rosa match on that note.

Oh believe me, if I had my druthers a trip to Chicago would involve seeing both teams play, I fully want to see every big league park at some point...but yeah, not exactly very much to do around the Sox's park and not much fun getting there by the looks of it, while Wrigleyville is supposed to feel like you're in baseball heaven. I really want to see my team playing there, and the issue is being able to go during a year where they're there in the summer (I teach, so I can't really go to away games in April, May, or September) and on a weeknight (I work my second job on weekends). And yeah, I know seeing the wrestling show would be huge since it's a first time for it, but I did go to the MSG show and the other NJPW shows in California, so it's all tough. Also have a gig at that weekend, which could make the choice for me if I can't get someone to cover for me...but yeah, this is all a very good problem for me to have, so no complaining here. EDIT: Ooh, yeah, Cubs are home that Tuesday, so maybe...more planning is needed!

Yeah but he said the Mets so that's apart of his delema Right he mentioned after that the Cubs weren’t home for him to just take in a game too. But they will be at least a couple of days later. But like everyone else said, Cubs will presumably host the Mets every season whereas this is a first-time event. Go with the Forbidden Door!

EDIT: Ooh, yeah, Cubs are home that Tuesday, so maybe...more planning is needed! Wrigleyville is awesome. Wrigley Field itself is amazing, just because of all of the history associated with it. But, hot take, I'm not sure I think it's a particularly great place to actually watch a game, especially if you're a tall/large person. The seating is very much built for early 20th Century sized people, and if you're sitting in the middle level, your field of vision will be at least partially blocked by the pillars. I hope your trip works out man! I'm trying to justify a trip myself, considering I had literally just purchased Summerslam tickets on the presale right before this show was announced last night.

I've heard the same things about Wrigley as a space to watch a game as Fenway: amazing for the history and just the feeling of being there. But once that washes over, it's a miserable experience in terms of actually watching a game.

Not to get too far afield of the subject of this thread, but this is an invaluable resource if you are going to a game at Wrigley: www.rateyourseats.com/blog/cheap_seats/location-of-every-pole-at-wrigley-field-and-how-to-avoid-themThere truly is nothing worse than rolling up to Wrigley only to learn that you're close to one of those pillars.

I do wonder what this means for All Out being in Chicago this year.
