I had never seen this episode before, until Doug Walker covered it on Dark Toons. And holy shit, I'm very surprised Nickelodeon let this air. Like, I know Ren & Stimpy and Rocco's Modern Life did some tripped out storytelling, but this one haunted me, even though I'm in my thirties, and I'm not really sure why. I think a lot of it comes down to the imagery of all those kids looking deathly ill. Plus the fact that there was no resolution, as far as we know, Zim never gave them back their organs. And god help the kid who's heart or lungs were replaced by an object... (not to mention that poor secretary who had her brain replaced with a can of soda)
