Not really directly related but since the rise of Jerishow's come up, I do wonder at what point the decision to do that with it was made considering in the build-up to the PPV they were having Big Show crush the entire US title scene every week and seemed to be building to giving him that belt instead.

On a sidenote, the WWE US title design that was used from 03-20 actually had a pretty noticeable redesign in 2014 when the scratch logo was replaced with the WWE Network logo. Most of the title belts had very little change (barring the WWE title where the logo difference fundamentally changed the design), but the Network US title added a lot of color to the sideplates.

Jericho always has a keen eye for what's going on around him so I assume once Edge went down and he saw Show getting used the way he was, he jumped on it Show could use the boost in credibility since he spent a lot of time losing to Cena before getting involved with the U.S. title. Also I am sure everyone remembers that horrendous first theme they had before they got the good one

Sting and Flair both held the WCW Title in its Early 90s design and as the Big Gold Belt. They actually competed against each other in the match where Big Gold switched from being the International Title to the WCW Title. Best guess, besides making it easier to have a single top title, is that Hogan preferred Big Gold to the WCW '91. Man I'll never get the love for big gold. The WCW 91-94 is one of the best designs of all time.

The WCW 91-94 is one of the best designs of all time. If I had hazard to guess, it's a combination of the size of it, a shape that's not too outlandish, and (save for when WWE used it and added their logo at the top, or when Hogan held it and spray painted it) it being a good "brand neutral" title.

Did Balor hold two versions of the NXT title? Yeah, he did. I forgot how goddamn ugly that first design was.
