Old school wrestlers would walk or threaten to walk all the time as well. It’s nothing new. Yeah that’s definitely true as well. Austin did it, Jeff Hardy walked out mid-match just recently, Jarrett and Roadie walked out right after a PPV match, I’m sure it happened countless times in the territory days as well.

Its honestly a cultural clash between the old-school and New school. A lot of generations past has the dont walk off or give two weeks noticed ingrained in their heads. No matter how horrible they're being treated. Our generation now is leading the charge to change that and with any kind of change there's gonna be pushback by calling our generation "lazy, entitled, unprofessional, its all the same lingo essentially trying to guilt us into staying at a bad situation. There’s so many factors to such things. The unprofessional part to me comes in how it can leave fellow workers who have to pick up your slack in a lurch. Extreme example: I was once at a late-night diner where at that time it was just a waitress and a cook. The cook got angry over something (not anything you could tell what it was from my vantage, they didn’t have any words or whatever) and stalked out. Now this poor waitress is left with a bunch of customers and no cook and she’s all by herself and it’s after midnight and she basically had a breakdown. I think what he did was unprofessional because whatever his beef, he left her in a very unfair situation. This is less extreme but it did leave Doudrop and Nikki, who had a rare main event spot on Raw, in a lurch. And put it on Becky and Asuka to put together and have a main event match on a couple hours notice. To me that’s not professional. I honestly think if she had legit gripes she should've walked off after the show or the day of. Not the beginning of the show, thats pretty unprofessional on her part IMO. But there is a generational gap and divide about work ethic and such.

Remember Gail Kim did this in the middle of a battle royale and I don't think she even caught this level of supposed flack.
Sometimes and especially in WWE nowadays you got those that are just gonna put up with it and ride it out and then there is Sasha by proxy Naomi who finally reach their boiling point with the bs.

Didn’t they refuse to release Gail, never use her, let her contract run out, and never work with her again? Seems like she caught some flack.

I wonder if its due to the level of overness/usefulness to the other company. Let's face it at that time Gail wasn't gonna move massive numbers. But Sasha leaving could definitely move the needle. So why not start the smear campaign now? I also don't agree with what she did but if there's a legit reason, so be it

Austin got flack for walking out and I think he said he regretted in retrospect even if creatively he was right to not want to do Brock/Austin on TV without a build.

But there is a generational gap and divide about work ethic and such. Again, as someone pointed out, doing it at the end would have been worse for them. Naomi would be number one contender. Do you just find a way of redoing the match again close to the PPV not being able to build to the match as much as you’d like? And Nikki and Doudrop would have felt like the match was for nothing and the heat would still be there. And frankly, doing it during the show sends a stronger message than before or after since, like, they have to do stuff without them. Before? Oh, we can just change the booking plan. After? Oh, we’ll just crown someone new in a convoluted way.

They let her contract run out because it had well under 90 days left on it by the night of that battle royal.

Old school wrestlers would walk or threaten to walk all the time as well. It’s nothing new. As for “Sasha having a history?” Umm, where? They only time she took an extended break was after she and Bayley lost the tag belts. And she came back, and her first feud was her putting over Becky decisively. I hate to say it, but I think jealousy might play a role as well. Fairly or unfairly she seems to have the reputation of being pouty when she has to lose and also is viewer as getting a lot of breaks other women don't get... also again, there was allegedly her being one of the people who bullied Alexa in NXT

Well the 2020s as a decade really have screwed up the universe. I say that because Jim Cornette put a 40 minute video on his YouTube channel about this and he is on Sasha and Naomi’s side because of him having gone through something like this is WCW with Jim Herd and he and Stan went home and got their release from WCW because of the way the midnight express were being used and said he can understand when it gets to a point where you reach the breaking point.
He read out Mike Johnson’s initial report, they read out WWEs statement which Brian last the co host said sounded like a way to embarrass both women which is a point made by many here, and the one released by someone close to both Sasha and Naomi.
He said its not a surprise given how bad the creative has been and mentioned Toni storm just up and leaving, and said you can’t treat talent like this. He said the statement WWE released is “all Vince” and the only thing that may complicate things is that Naomi is married to one of the USO’s.

None too often will I ever side with Cornette on anything he says but the universe works in mysterious ways on this one. And the thing about the situation itself is that this was always going to happen eventually because of the way especially now WWE sees and treats their talent, they seem them as more expendable than they ever have.

Even when objectively she has not done anything f wrong. It goes back all the way to 2016. I honestly do not care if she’s “pouty” or whatever because she still makes the others look great in the ring regardless. Also she was photographed smiling on the floor after Bianca won at Mania last year. So it goes both ways.

Hot take: if you’ve never been to New York or New Jersey, you’ve never had a good bagel. What about Montreal bagels?

Random thing as I am slow to see this Why is everyone acting like walking out on your job is this huge, awful thing? Calling people unprofessional etc.? They didn't like something they were asked to do at their workplace, they tried to change it, it didn't change, they left I did the same six months ago at a job I didn't like due to bad management, no one told me I was unprofessional lol Its honestly a cultural clash between the old-school and New school. I'm on the older end of millennial and if I leave, I'll damn sure give my 2 weeks. People ought to leave situations that are bad for them but walking out with zero notice screws over coworkers. To me that is unprofessional. I don't see it as lazy or entitled. That said, I am coming at this from a factory perspective. There are some rare situations where walking out without notice is reasonable but they are few and far between. I don't know enough about Sasha and Naomi's situation to pass judgement. On one hand they did screw over their coworkers. However, there may have been a legit reason.

What about Montreal bagels? Too thin and dense! If it's not from the bagel region of New York it's just sparkling donut shaped bread.
