I'm just excited for the whole tournament we have coming up: So, who will win between the tag team that doesn't get along and the tag team that was hastily put together? Definitely not the fans….

They threatened to do that to Rey a few years ago when he wanted out, extending his deal by a year because he spent a lot of time injured. They blinked before he did and let him go because they do not want lawyers picking their contracts apart. And that is exactly the result I would expect with this. WWE does want to let her out of her deal so Sasha gets ready to take it to court and they then simply let her out of her contract because like you said they absoloutley do not want their contracts and things like their take on the independent contrator label picked apart in court.

"We're suspending you indefinitely entirely to keep your contract from running out any time soon," is unbelievably f***ing ghoulish.

Pulled from the intro. Sasha and Naomi getting the Benoit Treatment now in other words. Does this mean there will be memes of Stevie Richards and Hardcore Holly in drag (both sounding like Sue the Shooter as done by the Great Brian Last) popping up?

For a company who has tried to distance themselves from being associated with the term professional wrestling or wrestler, they don’t half use it a lot in their contracts.

Mark Henry also tends to keep kayfabe more on these types of things. I suspect him saying that Vince was screaming in Corey’s ear to say that stuff might be “pealing back the curtain” too much for him.

If they try and tack on suspension to keep them glued to a contract out of sheer spite, forgive me if I do not see that holding up in court... this will turn into a mess for WWE the longer they string this out.

Yeah yeah, I know "Independent Contractors" is a more complicated term than it appears on first glance but imagine suspending your independent contractors in other businesses.

Been hard to think of what to say about this. Sasha (and particularly) Naomi have been favourites for a long time.
Over the past couple years WWE’s treatment of their talent has been alarming and this is another chapter to a shitty book. It’s good to see their attempt at putting these two women down hasn’t worked on the vast majority of people. WWE coming out of this looking very poor.

They blinked before he did and let him go because they do not want lawyers picking their contracts apart. I’m pretty sure they’ve extended contracts for injury a bunch of times. It’s why the Hardy’s contracts were running out at different times.

If they try and tack on suspension to keep them glued to a contract out of sheer spite, forgive me if I do not see that holding up in court... this will turn into a mess for WWE the longer they string this out. Depends on the contract language really. They were presumably in breach when they walked out and so the contract language would likely support a suspension for that reason. The contract is for the performer giving a certain number of years of service so the argument (and the contract language) is that if you’re out due to injury or due to suspension caused by your own breach then there is still time owed on the deal. I don’t think it would necessarily be shot down (though I think at some duration the suspension portion would become unreasonable). There’s also the fact that they may not want to push too much on that issue for fear of someone bringing a lawsuit and adding as one of the counts something to do with the independent contractor designation.

This is gonna get messy.
And not for Naomi and Sasha.
This is exactly what this company deserves too.

Did anyone take a look at McAfee when Cole gave the "...let us all down..." speech? He gets this, "Did they?" look on his face that I cannot shake.
