Have there been any reports that Sasha and Naomi are seeking their release? Could end up just being a power play and both sides sit down in the next few weeks to see about working it out. If rumors are ture, and they both have a few months on their contracts, it would be simpler to just let them run it out.

Too bad her talents do not. I’ve never gotten that about the “Sasha’s going to Hollywood!!” She had a bit part in The Mandalorian that didn’t exactly scream “Look out, Cate Blanchett! Mercedes is here now!!” She May WANT to go to Hollywood but she’s far from a lock for success. The Rock and Cena are charisma machines and insane workaholics. Batista put in a ton of work for Guardians of the Galaxy. Sasha could certainly find work based on her WWE/Star Wars credits but I’d wager it would be more Netflix originals than starring in a massive blockbuster. That's not a bad thing. If she is able to become a regular lead for Netflix/Lifetime/Hallmark movies, she'd be making bank with how many movies each of them make and she'd be in good with those places. Add in the money she'd be able to make on the convention circuit thanks to wrestling and Star Wars, and she'd be making more than she would in WWE. It's kind of like Jinder to a lesser extent. He's a regular on Big Sky, he might be able to turn that into multiple roles as the main bad guy's henchman. A character actor may not get the headlines, but they have long careers and make good money.

One other thing that could test her Hollywood prospects is; have you ever met an anti vaxxer whose opinions on all other hot topics was completely normal and vanilla to the point of boredom? It doesn't happen much does it? There's other stuff she believes in and will one day be vocal about that is at best controversial and polarizing and at worst completely cuckoo and offensive.

But she also got the vaccine, as evidenced by her being on the overseas shows. And if I'm not mistaken she's kept her mouth shut about that for awhile. Which is the smart thing, just don't say anything. Don't double down and scream about how you're a victim. Don't do what Gina Carano did.

Ever since Vince "got burned" by the likes of The Rock and Brock lesnar up and leaving him and his company and he went into insane mode in trying to controll and make sure his talent know no one is bigger than his company. Cannot imagine how he is gonna double down on that now if Sasha and Naomi manage to get out of their deals. If nothing else one thing fans have learned over the many years the one thing that bothers Vince and his zeplin sized ego more than anything else is he cannot stand not being in controll and try as he is might to spin it that Sasha and Naomi are the bad people here it is completely backfiring the more he keeps trying to push this narrative and only making his company look worse. Is that true though? Obviously those who already think WWE are scum and awful have another thing to point at and say 'see' but is it really impacting on any sort of wider audience or changing anyone's stance? Ratings dont seem to have taken a hit Friday over it and the mainstream media hasnt picked it up and/or doesnt care at all. Is it really making anyone look worse? Those who dont care will follow the WWE narrative, those who already care will already believe WWE is still evil. I'm not seeing much of anyone 'changing sides' in terms of suddenly believing WWE is right or wrong over this - unless I've missed that some how?

Yeah, Carano didn’t get her contract renewed (she wasn’t fired, no matter how much she says as much) because she didn’t listen to the people telling her to shut up instead of, well, shutting up. Banks has, for the time being, at least listened to those people.

A character actor may not get the headlines, but they have long careers and make good money. There’s a good documentary on character actors called ‘The Guy in that Thing’ or something like that. They’re all people you recognize because you’ve seen them so many times but pretty much likely don’t know their names. Their lives are somewhat feast or famine. Get a few roles, make some good money — then maybe go months without a role. For the East Coasters (in this time period), all the Law & Order shows were huge, for the West Coasters it was the Star Trek series … with either if you did a good job they’d probably bring you back for various spots on the other shows or even the same one after a time. You kind of got on their Rolodex and you’d get calls pretty regularly. But the big thing was to get a recurring role on a series (these aren’t series lead types; more like play a neighbor in a sitcom who pops up most episodes or a co-worker on a cop or hospital drama). Then you knew you were getting a steady paycheck for a season (or several). One guy bought his first car when he finally got a recurring role. It’s an interesting movie if you haven’t seen it.

Her becoming a “regular lead for Netflix/Lifetime/Hallmark movies” is still a pretty big leap of faith from where she is in Hollywood right now. She barely had any lines in the Mandalorian, and she’s not exactly known for her promos/acting in wrestling.

One (minor) side point on Sasha and the idea of her going to AEW: Sammy Guevara.
I know they had a phone conversation and he did his public apology and served his time on suspension, so to speak, but would she want to work in a company where she has to be around him every week, given that he’s a guy who said he’d like to rape her? There’s no way for us to gauge her feelings on that — I certainly never got an indication that they became friends or anything like that. It could be an uncomfortable situation she’d want to avoid.
Figured I’d throw it into the mix.

Punk and Colt don’t seem to have any issues both working for the same company.

I know his role was diminishing before that but he wasn’t completely written off was he? And those two former friends now drawing paychecks from the same company isn’t necessarily quite the same. All depends on how Sasha would feel around a guy who said that. Someone saying they’d like to rape you isn’t the same as a dispute over legal fees — it could make her very uncomfortable. Really down to how she feels.

Colt and Punk both wrestled in Chicago on Dynamite back in November. So they've been at the same show plenty of times since his return. Sasha could in theory say "I just won't work anywhere Sammy works" which is fine but given the entire history of the wrestling business, money/opportunity usually trumps that kind of stuff, especially since she could just say to Tony in negotiations that she wants nothing to do with him backstage or on camera and I'm 99% sure that would be granted.

Colt wrestled a dozen times last year after Punk showed up; since the turn of the year he's had three matches on Dark, and an additional five on the indies. Since he's also employed as a trainer it's probably safe to assume he's transitioned into that role almost full-time now.

He was stuck in Australia filming for longer than expected.

Pretty sure Colt showed up with the rest of Dark Order on their last TV. He's just way down the list of priorities for extended TV time now, in the Dark Order, let alone AEW.
