I overall enjoyed the finale, but the utter lack of a climax was disappointing.

Dan Slott is not considered a bad writer by a significant group of people, definitely not Marvel or he wouldn't be the guy who's written more of their flagship character than anyone in history. His She Hulk was great too You’ve obviously spent no time talking to Spider-Man readers then, most of whom consider Slott one of the worst writers in the characters history. He spent 10 years crapping all over Mary Jane’s character, destroying her relationship with Peter and turned Doctor Octopus into a pervert while in Peter’s body during the Brand New Day and Superior eras. Let’s not forget the damage he also did to Black Cat’s character by turning her into a full on, homicidal villain. Took Nick Spencer coming along to fix most of that. Fantastic Four readers weren’t happy with his run there either. The fact that you think Slott writing a lot of major characters is a sign of him being a good writer is absurd. You can attribute that to Marvel being stagnant with their writing and sticking with the same old writers despite the fans voicing their displeasure with their writing. His She Hulk run was really good. Him being a poor fit for Spider-Man is neither here nor there in this discussion FWIW I also love the current run in She Hulk

Slott is weird for me. A lot of his Spidey stuff I hated in concept, but the execution ended up a lot better than expected. Like I hated the idea of Superior Spider-Man, but it ended up being a pretty interesting storyline. Shame Marvel's insistence on going back to status quo meant that Otto reverted back to a villain only a short time after it ended.
His She-Hulk run was pretty good too.

Superior Spider-Man is garbage in execution, everyone in Peter's circle acts like an ignorant jerkass idiot who can't put two and two together which enables Otto to get away with everything until he lucks out and has to surrender to Peter's personality to get him out of the situation and rescue his girlfriend, after which all of Peter's loved ones victim blame him.
It is what it is and was indeed quite popular ("so much for the people's taste"-Hulk Hogan), and Slott should have left right after that, but alas he hung around and stunk out the joint for another three years. Not even people who like Superior Spider-Man can defend much of his later stuff, a lot feel like he he peaked with it.
His Iron Man run was also pretty dire, I enjoyed his Silver Surfer run though, even if it is just an audition for the Doctor Who writer's room. His Fantastic Four run is mid and ruins Franklyn Richards, but is otherwise serviceable fare.
His She-Hulk is incredible, he wrote that back before the fame got to his fat head and it shows with energy, humour, and legal smarts. I hope Pug's arc in the comics is adapted in future TV works

I just brought up the damage he’s done to several other characters and franchises as counter proof. Agreed on the current run of She-Hulk by Rainbow Rowell. Personally, it’s my favorite She-Hulk’s been written and I wish the show would have taken from this run instead.

That would've been impossible because the concept and writing of the She-Hulk show was being worked on years before Rowell started her run on the comics.

All that aside. Show was great fun I enjoyed the show a lot myself. And the ending sequence went from "This is cool" to "Holy Shit!"

I really would've liked to know why Blonsky was apart of that Intelligencia meeting? He seemed to genuinely like Jen and tried to protect her, so it didn't seem like he was sympathetic to them. Did he just take the gig for money? Did he not know what they were about? I like reformed/group therapy Abomination, I kinda really don't want him to be a bad guy again.

They just hired out his retreat and paid him to make an appearance. He is still reformed.

I liked the untraditional finish.

From what I got he had no idea who they were….just a group that hired him to do his speaking engagement.
