{Spoiler}{Spoiler} What a drama filled ending that was. Dickie being Loretta's child (Good job, by the way, Jedi-El of Tomorrow), Charles and Mabel finding out about it, Loretta taking the fall and getting arrested (even though it wasn't clear Dickie was actually going to be arrested? Unless he was and we're waiting for the GoPro footage) capping off with Oliver getting another heart attack. The sort of packed chaos that the show can have at times and a hell of a hook going into our last two episodes. The other thing to note, too, Dickie was the one Ben said he was "dead to him" on opening night in the video but whether he was there for the full breakdown is something we'll hopefully find out soon. Detective Williams being back adds a dynamic the show's been missing a little bit, the person there to call the doofuses doofuses, but the plan to get around it this time shows weird growth that I dig. Taking advantage of them being doofuses to get what was needed. And more importantly, the trio is back! And Charles got through the song without going to the White Room and coming out having taken off his pants and proposed to someone! Growth! Howard could be this season's unexpected hero if he could get something from that shredded paper, either getting Loretta off the hook or making it firmly clear she did it. All he wants to be is on the podcast, man. I'll say again, Meryl Streep being in this show is like hacking a game to give yourself infinite health and power-ups, it's basically not fair. There's zero reason for her to bring it as much except the fact she's Meryl Streep and she can't help it. Also, Mabel staying with Theo and using Tobert's GoPro isn't going to stop the great Theo/Tobert debate going on across the internet right now. Two more episodes left, next one's going to be a doozy with everything we know now.

{Spoiler}Thank you, thank you.
Detective Williams being back was incredible, and she's still being a theater geek. Meryl Streep has the Emmy locked up.

It's not the version where Charles tries to sing it and disintegrates into the White Room, unfortunately.

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} I’m not buying Loretta as the killer. Nope. My suspect has been Tobert and that line Mabel said about the killer inserting themselves into the investigation has really got my radar pinging
Also I’m going to shoot my shot and say that the person who poisoned Ben and who actually killed him aren’t the same person either

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} I’m not buying Loretta as the killer. Nope. My suspect has been Tobert and that line Mabel said about the killer inserting themselves into the investigation has really got my radar pinging
Also I’m going to shoot my shot and say that the person who poisoned Ben and who actually killed him aren’t the same person either {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Yeah, same. Especially after what happened in the episode as a whole, Loretta basically jumped on a sword that might not have been there in the first place.
Tobert is one I've seen thrown around and I can see it considering everything he's said in his episodes does raise a lot of red flags. Donna's also one I've seen (and she and Cliff still need their showcase episode to give them a bit more of a backstory) but I also feel like the last thing she wanted to do was to completely wreck an investment she put in with the star power Ben brought in, unless she knew Cliff was going to approve of the musical idea? Mabel was also one because she needs something for her podcast which...absolutely not. Nope.
And to your latter point, I always figured that. It's why it made sense Joy was under suspicion because they didn't say how it got into his system. Or even if cookies were in the room and got him that way but that feels a bit to elaborate at this point. But after Ben came back from that, all bets were off and it could genuinely be anyone who was there that night which will make those witness interviews filmed interesting. I'm going for Dickie for now but considering the circumstances, it could be anyone.
EDIT: Also the reason two people doing it makes sense is because the focus would be on the thing that'd actually killed him, the elevator shaft, than the poisoning which he lived through, at least in the eyes of the person that did the former. I don't see someone going out of their way to push him off the elevator shaft when Plan A didn't work unless they were super desperate to off him and I don't think anyone was that desperate, at least from what I've seen right now.

I had no clue there was a thread for this but I love this show.

We're in the Endgame now. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}I'll say first I'm going to miss Paul Rudd when this is over. He's been a real breath of fresh air to the show, along with Streep, and you never got the sense he wasn't putting his best effort. I never hated the guest stars of the last couple of seasons but the next ones have a lot to live up to. Ben comes off as someone who wanted to be a certain way but with his brother focused so much on his image, he had to keep one persona at bay whilst keeping up one that was a total asshole. It isn't a redemption but he's got an extra layer to him now.
I will say, the line read with the sowing ladies was adorable.
I'm also not going to get Baby Charles and Oliver out of my head for a good long time.
Anyway, case stuff, it looks like now that Donna wanted to sabotage her son's own show, possibly out of protecting him from it actually bombing after seeing the review. I said before I wasn't sure if I'd buy it but I'd buy it. It does feel too easy to conclude she was the one to push him, though, I still think someone else did that especially if Donna wanted to put on a particular image. I'll still say Dickie was the one to see Ben fall down the elevator shaft because of the earlier conversation, thus the desperate need for the hanky. Donna being in the courtroom for Loretta's trial doesn't exactly help my latter theory either. It did make a heck of a reveal, though, especially with the trial starting. Finale's going to be pretty good with that setup.
Put Howard on the podcast, damnit! His hard work was the thing that gave motive to the case, even with the new addiction to fixing paper.
As much as I got why they didn't do much this season, you needed something to drive them apart, so glad there was a moment of crime deduction from the trio. It was just nice for them to be involved in some hijinx, especially involving the knitting club (Snitches get Snitches is a 10/10 knitting shop name by the way).
Also sort of glad they didn't go through with someone Oliver or Charles is dating being a killer. Also honestly glad Tobert wasn't involved much either, besides trying to get his camera and the footage. I want Jesse Williams back next season for his eyes the chemistry with Gomez.
Good stuff overall, felt like a more classic episode with one more to go. Enjoyed this season for the differences and going to be sad we'll be away from them for a while (with good reasons, get that bank, SAG!).

Listened to Marc Maron’s WTF podcast with Chevy Chase as his guest, and Chevy says he would like to guest star in OMITB if given the chance..
Guess it depends if he has or has not burnt his bridges with Martin and Short.

No explanation, she just pierce hawthorne now She comes back as an unexpected replacement to Pierce that is actually super charming and bonds better with the rest of the cast without the baggage of the original. ...I mean, we're talking about the Community movie, here.

{Spoiler}You are f***ing kidding me with that cliffhanger!
Cliff being the killer was obvious the moment that they said Donna's lipstick was on the hanky. Props to everybody for bringing their A game during it all.
Next season is solving the murder of Sazz! And Charles was the intended target, since she is his stunt double and it was his apartment. I don't know what to say.

{Spoiler}I almost embedded a hole in my table from that. NOT SAZZ! ANYONE BUT SAZZ! But it does leave a question already, who wanted to kill Charles? Joy's in L.A. with Scott Bakula but would she be capable of a cross coast assassination plot?
I'm glad I was right about my two killer approach but also glad Dickie still got somewhat of a happy ending seeing his mother and helping her get back on the illustrious Grey's New Orleans Fire Burn Unit. Like Jedi-El said, it came to my mind it could be Cliff who pushed but it made more sense when Cliff ran up to potentially fall down the shaft.
I couldn't have been the only one who really wanted Howard in that play but I did laugh when Oliver just went "Fine, I'll do it myself". Also really fun to have the bit with Paul Rudd and Meryl Streep performing with each other, sort of a nice blending of the two stories about parents defending their kids.
I don't usually do this but Matthew Broderick/Uma? I ship it.
Loretta and Tobert going to L.A. for work basically means they'll eventually have to travel there for the investigation and I'm looking forward to putting these three into the streets of Los Angeles and annoying the LAPD over there, too. Also, if we don't get a Scott Bakula cameo, like, you might as well not do it. Like, Disney owns Grey's, get us on the set of Grey's New Orleans Fire Burn Unit! So much potential!
Really fun end of the season with a nice twist and an absolute gutpunch. Going to miss Sazz as a character so much.

Man this ups the stakes. At the least Charles was the target, and maybe all three are a target. Hasn't been done yet, where one or all of them were the intended victim.

Ben did go out of his way to say that Charles ruined his career when he was young and he had to rebuild himself but if someone was willing to have him stabbed right through the body? Dude must have been a right stroppy diva on the set of Brazzos. Like you said, it adds pressure because when whoever was involved finds out Charles isn’t dead, they’re going to put the pressure on him and everyone he knows and loves.

Now tell your business daddy to tell the people they pay to talk to the “little people” to pay people fairly so we can get this show on the road!

Been waiting until the finale to comment, so... {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}HOLY SHIT!!!
Great season of the show, Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd elevated this so damn much. I was a little skeptical at how quickly Donna confessed, but you could see the moment she realized Cliff pushed Ben. (I will say that for a brief moment, I considered Howard could've done it lol)
That cliffhanger... SAZZ IS DEAD??!! And someone was targeting Charles?? OH MY GOD!!!!!

That cliffhanger... SAZZ IS DEAD??!! And someone was targeting Charles?? OH MY GOD!!!!! {Spoiler}Yeah, I was too. It felt like she was doing a Loretta and wanting to take all the blame and the moment Cliff knew, he would have rather ended it all and the show than have that happen.
I’m glad there’s potential for Steep to be back, Williams too. As I said, the cast for this season really made what would have been a more mundane season in comparison to a really fun bit of TV. Whoever they get next have a high bar to approach.
And yeah, as we keep saying, this just adds a big layer to things. Who wants to kill Charles? Do they know where Lucy’s staying now? Do they think Joy’s with him? Was it Joy who set it up? So many questions and they’re probably just approaching writing Season 4 now.
