Funnily enough, AEW’s YouTube just uploaded the MJF/Wardlow hype video if that means anything besides automation. Im gonna assume the match is still on till said otherwise then because they would have pulled that from the automated system by now, you'd think, since this has been an ongoing story since last night. |

I hope to God this isn't a work because if you thought it was exhausting having to watch every bit of wrestling in existence to understand a character, imagine having to follow the dirt sheets to understand this weird and stupid f***ing angle...(if it's a work which again with MJF who the hell knows)....
I can't imagine what the opinion of Pillman would've been if the internet landscape was like it is now....

That AEW hasn't put out some kind of statement yet, and that we don't have confirmation MJF has left Vegas, is making it seem a lot more likely this is a work.
If so it's one of the worst since the dying days of WCW and absolutely seems like something Russo would've done.
AEW taking a massive unforced L here.

Absolutely nobody benefits from it being a work and nothing I’ve seen makes it seem like a work so as said before, unless MJF did something like this in MLW or in the indies, I can’t really convince myself it is anymore. Something happened, whether we get privy to what happened at some point, who knows?

Or they're still trying to sort the situation out Yeah, we can’t rule out that they’re hashing something out right now or at least beginning to so no news doesn’t necessarily mean they’re able to address it yet. |

AEW isn't going to say anything until they 100% know if the match is happening or not, nor should they. I hope that if the match is pulled they announce it immediately instead of baiting and switching on the show. Be upfront about it and turn the segment into Wardlow's grand AEW contract signing or something. The PPV has enough matches that it can stand to lose one, even one of the most anticipated ones.
If the match does happen, then I hope AEW and MJF are able to sort something out. Either release the guy or come to an arrangement that means this shit won't happen again. It will be exhausting for all involved (fans included) if we have to keep dealing with this until 2024.

I still think MJF has been working since the beginning. I don't think AEW was working at first, but once they got in contact with MJF, they went along with it. TK probably isn't happy about it, but that's a problem for another day.

Or he could tweet out before the show starts that he’s not participating, forcing AEW’s hand. Regardless, Tony’s postshow scrum is going to do a lot more views than normal. |
