Yeah idk, I know people said earlier that AEW might need better, tighter structure, but this doesn't really sound like it's on AEW, this sounds like it's on MJF
Like that can change, this is ongoing, but everything we're seeing? This is making MJF look awful, this is career suicide if he leaves Vegas on that plane.

All billionaires are bad except Tony Khan and its fine to be unprofessional unless you are MJF.

WWE won't be a land of rainbows either, they'll literally take all the things he uses to get over... Oh god, they will completely neuter him on the mic. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}also I feel I should make clear I hope all is well with everyone here and that this isn't something serious in a way past money issues I meme on this because I'm anxious

I think it’s silly to insinuate MJF is doing too much damage to himself right now. If anything, it’ll only make him a bigger star. Walking out 24 hours before you’re about to pay off a years long feud and put over a future star does not make you a bigger star.

Not if it blackballs him from AEW/NJPW/Impact then WWE lowballs him cause he has nowhere else to go. Stuff like this is something WWE doesn't really tolerate either (see the convo a few pages back of Vince making sure people finish indie dates before starting).

All billionaires are bad except Tony Khan and its fine to be unprofessional unless you are MJF. How is it Tony Khan's fault if they reached out to discuss things with MJF and he blew them off? Like with Sasha and Naomi they actively almost begged to get shit right before they left in WWE, this seems like a pretty different situation to me, and trying to bait about it like this? Not really the time.

On the MJF side of things: if it's a work, it's obnoxious. The angle was white hot classic pro wrestling storytelling and didn't need Russo flavored bullshit. If it's legit, MJF is being a massive doofus and seriously sabotaging his own career.
On the Joe side, this seems oddly out of character for him. Hope he's okay, and that we can get more reliable info on what happened there.

I'll still believe this is a work until he doesn't wrestle Wardlow tomorrow. And even then I'll be 50/50 on it, though regardless at that point even if it was a work it would be the worst work I've ever seen. If he doesn't show for the match tomorrow and they don't make it obvious that it's a work, then this is real, in which case, f*** him. But my prediction right now is that he's going to show up in street clothes, cut a promo about how he almost left Vegas, but stayed because the company "needs" him. Then Wardlow kills him and he takes a month or so off to negotiate.

This is making MJF look awful, this is career suicide if he leaves Vegas on that plane. Agreed. If this is legit, and he ends up no-showing tomorrow, and did this because he either threw a big temper tantrum or really believes it will be some sort of contract leverage...whatever the excuse is, it does nothing but look really bad on him. Like I don't see any upside at all, other than he's just banking on signing a big payday with WWE. And then, why sign a guy to big contracts if he has a proven track record of no-showing big PPVs? Say what you want about Vince, and god knows I have, but he doesn't seem to tolerate that level of unprofessionalism.

Oh I have no doubt WWE will bring him in at some point. But, he’s definitely not going to get the amount of money he thinks he’s worth. But if this is all a shoot, doing business this way is a good way of destroying your reputation. Oh yeah I definitely agree with you on that. They'll definitely pay him less after this, for sure. He also severely risks his negotiating position. Not just from a pay standpoint, but potentially getting that "Cody deal" that gives him a lot of creative leeway. Instead it's a lot more likely that he would just get repackaged by the WWE creative machine into someone who if he pulls this with them, is expendable. If this is really about money, he looks like a real idiot because now he's just a glorified midcarder. Especially if they were going to push him to the main event/championship picture and the pay raise and future free agent bargaining position that comes with it.

Walking out on one of the biggest matches of your career, no showing a meet and greet, and costing one of your co-workers a huge star making moment, one of the biggest in recent memory, does not make him a bigger star, it wouldn't make anyone anywhere a bigger star.

I'm not going to lay this all on MJF until we see how Joe's situation plays out. If they're both falling out with AEW at the same time despite coming from very different situations, that points to a more underlying issue.
That said, if MJF's really pulling a Jim Hellwig the night before the big PPV, well... the Self-Destruction hit piece documentary on him is sure gonna be something.

Everything is relative. Will they pay him less than they might have 2 years from now? Almost certainly. Will they offer him less than he’s making right now? Not knowing what he’s making but knowing it’s a ‘rookie contract’ offered to a guy straight out of MLW for a then-startup enterprise with no competing offers, almost certainly he’d be making more from WWE day one if he was released right now.

Joe having a falling out would be incredibly weird, he just signed, won a title, was undefeated putting on bangers, and could potentially win the Owen final That one's not really being reported on at all which makes me wonder if it wasn't as serious, or they're just hard focused on MJF

I'll just say, you really don't want WWE to be your only option in wrestling.

Guy is committing career suicide. If he pisses off AEW he's basically blackballing himself from Impact and NJPW as well, and WWE can lowball him knowing he really doesn't have any other options. Then there's his reputation with the boys given that he's giving Wardlow a huge kick in the balls here. He'd be jobbing to Veer Stardust by SummerSlam. FIFY
