Between Chris Simms and Dan Orlovsky, we've got entirely too many awful quarterbacks in media who think they can discuss how to play the position. Why is it so hard to understand that Hurts and his abilities are what allow the Eagles to run the type of offense that they do? Philly, despite all their talent at WR and TE, is set to be a run first offensive via the O-Line. Mailata, Dickerson and Seumalo are all way better at run blocking than they are at pass protection. They're not bad by any means, but run blocking is their strength. If you think that dropping back 30-40 times a game without the threat of Hurts running ability won't completely change the entire offense then you're crazy. Besides all that, if you don't think Hurts is a Top 10 Passer, then go back and watch the Tennessee, Pittsburgh, first Giants and Minnesota games. Hurts lights all of them up, especially the Vikings, with his arm. Maybe it doesn't even go pass this one season, but you can't tell me with a straight face that he's not Top 10. |

If I bought tickets/hotel/travel to go to a game on Sunday and the son of the bitch got flexed to Thursday you'd be able to hear my scream of bloody murder from Bigfoot's house on god damn Mars.
The shift from like a noon game to 7pm is a pain in the ass BUT it's at least the same damn day. I know Bears Fans that would drive to NFL HQ and burn it to the ground if they flexed Bears/Packers to a Thursday from a Sunday. It's akin to deleting a holiday.
This is the worst idea since trying to restart the Bills/Bengals game.

That is why they are open to deciding, a week out, "Actually, you guys are playing three days earlier than we originally scheduled you to." We all agree that this is insane, right? There are so many logistical nightmares that prevent that from happening, not the least of which are NFL bylaws that require every team to get at least 1 prime time game a season. The shit teams get theirs on Thursdays. |

Is this dude really advocating for teams to only have access to measurables and not doing a full medical analysis? Am I reading this correctly? Regardless the high ups in the NFLPA are in bed with Goodell And the NFL anyways. That’s how it always works in these unions. They do just enough for the players to think they’re doing something and get in good with the league and kind of play both sides. |
