And the Bears have the number 1 pick. Do they trade it for a good package to get Fields more weapons, or do they deal Fields and take Bryce Young? I think Stroud will go #1, but with what you know you have in Fields, why not wait until the 11th hour and deal the pick for a king's ransom? It's amazingly valuable, and they can literally call everyone's bluff because there is no team with even an average QB that isn't drooling over those 2 guys. I think the Bears 100 percent trade down to whoever wants Stroud/Young at 1, whether that's Houston or someone else.

It might be the biggest package deal we've ever seen. But I think with Houston picking 2, they have little incentive to move up. Whoever is left is a boon, unless you think one guy is gonna be a bust. But they're still in a great spot, so I think they stand pat.

Houston has no reason to move up unless you are truly in love with one over the other Only thing they did was eliminate the factor of choice but whoever isn't picked between first, Houston will gladly take. I think Stroud is going number 1 and it seems like Houston might want Young a little bit more but either way it works out

It really is an Eli/Rivers situation. You can get the 2nd best guy and still get a wildly elite QB in terms of tools and high-end potential.

Yeah, there is 4 QBs going in the first round this year Teams who need one will get one so more Houston and Chicago basically both got what they needed. Houston can sell for a ransom and get picks to help the team while Houston gets their QB This isn't a Wilson/Lawrence situation where Lawrence was a once in a generation (10 years) QB while everyone was good but not to his level

Did he even have any role within the organization?

"The NFL doesn’t mess around with gambling." Yeah, they're definitely not in bed with gambling.... Funny too, bc it's not even a question of insider information. He bet ON the team, he doesn't have an influence on the outcome, and the bet lost.

Looks like he was going to donate the bet to charity NFL really going have to get their shit together with the gambling. Players, I get and even then if I was them that betting ad money better be part of our revenue. But "ambassadors" and people outside the org seems like they are getting shafted

Well, barring a collapse from either team, the Niners will be the 2 in the NFC while the Eagles are the 1.

Lovie Smith done as Texans HC after 1 season
Surprising. Despite lack of talent he had them fighting all year. I assume the top people in charge weren't happy not getting the 1

I assume the top people in charge weren't happy not getting the 1 The Texans will have had five head coaches in four seasons. That’s the sort of institutional instability that could sink a franchise for years to come. Whoever they hire next can’t be considered a transition coach or another retread. It has to be their head coach for the future, and they have to deal with the growing pains that will come with it.

I assume they are going to go for a young coach as all their recent coaches have been older If you want to pair your young QB with someone who he basically will be married to, I get it from that standpoint. But still, the team did play hard for Lovie. Tho it should be said them hiring and firing 2 black coaches after 1 season is not a good look

Can't take a chance on some rando.

The Texans aren't going to escape their racist reputation if they keep hiring Black coaches to be one and done with teams that are set up to fail.
