Any other long time fans happy that Stranger Things is introducing her to a new audience?

Kate Bush has so many classic and getting a revival and a whole new bunch of fans is awesome. Hell I think I discovered her properly from the Michaels/Undertaker hype vid.

FROM THE START wuthering heights was such a trippy song to listen to as an eight year old, but loved every second of it and the two videos, as well as her wonderful interpretive dance in them ... also as an eight year old she was DAMN HOT TOO her early singles were fantastically whispery and light, suiting her style ... then BABOOSHKA came out ... but it wasn't until running up the hill, did she re-emerge for me, and it's still one of my all time fav songs to this day! and one of many 7" singles i should have bought hey good for them in using her stuff on this, i'm only coming onto series three of stranger things, but it's been super so far

I was introduced to Kate Bush when Brazilian heavy metal band Angra covered Wuthering Heights. She's not really my thing, not because of her, but because artsy pop music isn't really my thing. I do find it strange that an artist that is basically a living legend in Europe is almost completely unknown in the US, and I'm all for introducing a genuine and non-manufactured artist to a new audience.

I absolutely adore her work. Wuthering Heights is amazingly complex considering Kate was 18 when she recorded it, and contrasting that with a mature ballad like "Man with the child in his eyes" showed her range as an artist. I was OK with her work around the early eighties. Babooshka was obviously the big hit but I preferred lower profile stuff like Wow from the Lionheart album. Hounds of Love got the perfect mix of Bush eccentricity with a confident refined artist. For me though my personal favourite is Cloudbusting. I feel like you come out of it each time appreciating a new element of the track.
One that always sticks with me on a personal level though is This Women's Work. I hear that first chord and instantly start bawling

Whenever she was bought up on best of, top 100, 80s retrospective type shows it was always Wuthering Heights and I never liked that song and as a result never liked her.
It took Placebos cover to go find the original, then hounds of love, man with a child in his eyes, Babushka etc and became a fan. Still don't like WH much even if I can appreciate it more now.
I think she's one of those few that will be rediscovered by every generation, she's still relatively unique and not overplayed so doesn't age like some.

Bush is basically two-of-a-kind with Bowie in terms of 'absolutely mainstream classic rock/pop that's weird enough not to date'. You will still find people in colleges with Bowie posters on the wall, which isn't the case for say, Elton John. Kate never broke America but this is certainly the case in Europe. It's never going to be 'uncool' to listen to most of this stuff

Sheâs one of those acts that I didnât quite âgetâ when I was young. I thought she was a bit too weird for the charts. Of course, as I got older I realised that this was another of those things to add to the long list of things I was massively wrong about when I was a kid. I could then appreciate that a song like Wuthering Heights wasnât some âstrange woman wailing and dancing weirdlyâ and that it was a haunting masterpiece.

I'm thrilled a new generation has been exposed to her work. Hopefully some series will come along and expose people to Laurie Anderson next.

I didn't even know she was the original artist that sang Running Up That Hill. I had only known of Placebo's version. I like both versions a lot.

I first knew of her from GTA: Vice City with "Wow". Then knew of Running Up That Hill from Placebo at first, but heard the original and preferred it and love Hounds Of Love, such a great album.

She's got a song called "Hammer Horror" that I like, even though it isn't really about Hammer Horror.

80s alternative is probably my favorite genre. And Kate Bush and Souxsie Souix are IMO the best women of that era

Oh, absolutely.
Whatever and however these kinds of things happen, I'm always glad when they do for real unique talents like Kate Bush.
