PWI Insider didn't seem to mention it, but Stephanie's replacement Catherine Newman was most recently the chief marketing officer of Manchester United. OK got it! Because the other Khan owns Fulham they need their own English football team representative....

(Vince McMahon and Nick Khan putting Stephanie McMahon on leave, 2022, Colorized) Part of me can actually kinda seeing Nick and Vince being like that. I thought it was because HHH was having problems with his dick! *HHH after eating his eighth Blue Chew trying to convince Steph to not leave him* Steph to HHH in response to his ''don't leave me'' plea

Claire's been covering WWE since her days at the New York Post, she's got good sources. Not shocked by what's been reported. I think it's pretty glaring that WWE's marketing is just not up to snuff. The live ad commercials, the branding for PPVs, it's all just so dated and clunky looking. They need more sophisticated folks at the helm. But is that on Steph or Vince? I mean we've seen them attempt change and things get reverted right back to the old ways super fast. Hell, even the corporate people end up back in place after awhile.

I think the marketing is on Steph, TBH. I'm sure Vince cares but I doubt he's reviewing every spot. If it was about the actual television product I could see it being more on Vince.

I can believe that Steph would be trying to make these changes, Vince responds by going “Nah” and Steph in turn gets blamed for not growing the company in those aspects because that’s what companies do to push out executives they don’t want around. See Ortiz, Michael.

Meltzer said this on the Observer board:
There is a much bigger story here.
The company outright wanted to bury her here. Something happened after she left clearly. The company did a total 180 on her about two weeks after she left. They never even did that for Barrios & Wilson.

What, did she not want a singles title shot instead of defending the tag belts either?

It did run through my mind too that it's possible WWE planted this story, for better or worse.

Assuming Meltzer's correct than maybe she didn't like the idea of being forced to leave and it led to a row?

The turnaround from employing your kids in prominent positions to not only forcing them out but this weird dirtsheet ratf***ing that now both Shane and Steph have been hit with is really ugly. What is happening in that company and what is happening in that family.

When Vince finally crumbles into cookie crumbs and gives up his position the fallout is getting way more interesting because there are so many questions about just what the hell is going on with this family.

so the Undertaker's retirement sucked and neither HHH or Steph are taking over the company. I think all we need now is for someone to bring back the Devil's Advocate gimmick, definitively prove it would always suck, and then all of the seals are broken and the secret of the universe is unlocked.

What is happening in that company and what is happening in that family. It has to be a sale. Vince had his last failure trying to be anything more than a wrestling promoter. Now his goal is to build the company as massive as he can and sell it off for billions. The he will finally get the respect he feels he deserves. Maybe thats the secret of the Fox deal. They have money to burn from Disney so they want to own their own sport.

Assuming Meltzer's correct than maybe she didn't like the idea of being forced to leave and it led to a row? Meltzer's report says that her leaving was 100% her call, she wasn't pushed out, but once she did leave some people wanted to bury her. His exact quote:
