If we're going back to the 'who might buy WWE' discussion, I dont see it being any of the existing Networks or media conglomerates.
It'll be bought like a Sports Company, by a random consortium and/or a Saudi Prince or something like that.
Private equity over established name.

Just waiting for Steph, Hunter, & Shane to sell their stocks to Tony Khan. As big of a control freak that Vince is I would bet there is a clause where he has to give his approval to any sale of stock that large.

It wouldn't even matter because any stock sold is converted to class b stock and has no voting power. Vince has the vast majority of voting stock even with what has sold because of that.

Fightful Select reported that sources inside the company shot down the Business Insider report as untrue.

I hope HHH goes to AEW and on the first Dynamite, it’s just him locked in a room for two hours. And they come to a Zoolander and Hansel type understanding

Yeah that checks out a hell of a lot more than a tv network buying it WWE doesn’t have any tangible assets. It’s why WCW went so low. They got some rings and a large tape library. Everything else is just an expense. WWE as a name is worth something, the name WrestleMania is worth something. Everything else is worthless. If WWE does sell, it’ll go for way less than people think.

MJF announcing that he isn't going to WWE but he's bringing WWE to AEW and bringing out Steph, HHH, and Shane as his new entourage is going to be amazing. I imagine HHH would be rebuilding that throne that Cody destroyed early on in the AEW days...

As big of a control freak that Vince is I would bet there is a clause where he has to give his approval to any sale of stock that large. I don't think that's the case. But what would happen is the Class B shares the McMahon's hold would be turned into CLass A shares that have 1/10th of the voting power. Legally no one outside of the family can hold Class B shares, and Vince holds a whole bunch which basically makes him the only vote that counts. So unless Vince decides he wants to adopt Tony... let's just ponder on that for a moment...

If there's one thing I've learned from years of watching WWE and listening to a wide variety of shoots, it's that it's impossible to truly know or predict Vince McMahon's thoughts or actions. Sometimes he's smart, sometimes he's stupid, sometimes he's tone deaf and miles behind, sometimes he's trying something that either nobody else is mad enough to try or nobody else thinks will work (and sometimes with good reason). I suspect that whatever reason people put forward for this, we'll probably get it wrong. I'm not someone who hates him or believes he's the devil like a lot of fans- for as many bad things as he's done or been alleged to have done there's too many stories about him otherwise for such a simple view- but Vince is an enigma.

I would be shocked if this were true given how much effort and company money has gone into building Stephanie's brand over the past decade, giving her credit for work the talent did and charity work company had done long before she joined management. I wouldn't be shocked if she runs for office in 2024, nicely distanced from the day to day running if the WWE, able to say 'Nuh huh, not me' after another mass firing.

The WWE is cash rich and has hundreds of millions in income, if anyone buys them, it'll be a venture capital firm who will saddle the company with billions in debt while siphoning off most of the revenue and reserves in dividends with whatever is left used to cover interest.

How long until the headline 'Nick Khan pushed Vince out'?
....I'm still convinced that once he is ready, Vince will push a giant red button in his office and Titan Towers will just explode, and that will be it.

Impossble. No one can force Vince out unless he does something so illegal or insane that they can claim mental deficiency. Even then he would still effectively own the company. Now your second thought sounds like something Vince would do.

How long until the headline 'Nick Khan pushed Vince out'? Wall Street loves Vince. It's one of the reasons he's still where he is because when they see him, they see money. The person who pushes Vince out is basically tanking the company without a half-decent successor plan to pitch. Like, the shares don't matter but the people who hold them giving them up very much do.

Nick Khan is a hatchet man looking for ways to exploit more dimes out of his own grandmother. For him, Vince McMahon is a godsend. Anyone else is going to draw top level executive pay and not do f***ing half of what he does. You'd need multiple people in to oversee all of his duties. because he's been stretched so thin on a four decades-long workaholic binge that it's a miracle has not outpaced the flow of cocaine smugglers importing into the United States.

Meltzer noted in the Observer that Stephanie being named in the MLW lawsuit for a call she made to FOX didn't help her cause (SRS heard the same thing).
