I’d go with Matt Hardy, like it fits him but it’s not necessarily great looking gear.

I thought just about every attire Abyss wore was pretty bad. I did like the all white one though.

This is an odd one but I am not a fan of huge guys like Ryback or Wardlow wearing singlets. Hated it when Warrior did it as well. For some reason, they just look weird in them to me.

Mabel/Viscera and El Gigante/Gonzalez, Mike Shaw's most famous gimmicks too

I agree with Matt Hardy. The only time I’ve ever liked his look was the first year or so of the V1 gimmick.
Christian for a lot of his career. The brown mesh top or whatever that was he wore during the E&C days wasn’t great. Then when he started his singles career his gear looked terrible for a couple of years until he settled on the tights and no top look which isn’t amazing but far better than what he had.

I thought just about every attire Abyss wore was pretty bad. I did like the all white one though. I liked his 2003 gear where he was Kid Lash's muscle. But he slightly changed his mask around I wanna say 2006-07, had more space at the chin/bottom, and for me it killed his look. Weird as it was so minor but really noticeable to me.

Big Show and the one strap singlet. They either looked too big or too small on him. The two strap looks way better, but I wish he would have stuck with his very short term pants he wore in late 2002.

I never got why Mark Henry wore the black singlets in his World's Strongest Man days. I get he was a pretty no-nonsense character, but it just really would have benefited from a splash of color, maybe akin to Hennig's old singlets.

Jeff Jarrett. This stupid looking straps. This is my answer. The white random straps were the definition of "I'm trying to be different but it just makes me look stupid"

Came here to post 2009 Matt Hardy's tights as like the most flattering gear he's had. Most of his stuff is definitely in the category of "unique doesn't make it inherently better". Pretty much from the time he quit wearing the tights up until Broken Matt first became a thing it's just an imperceptible blur of unflattering baggy rave pants in my memory.
Re: big guys in singlets, I get it when they're trying to form up or if the definition isn't quite where they'd like it to be, but to use some AEW examples, I think both Hobbs and Wardlow are definitely in a place that they could go back to short trunks if they wanted and it'd flatter them immensely. I do get with Wardlow at least you've got the "now I'm getting serious" effect with lowering the singlet straps that obviously you can't really get if you forego a top completely. Also as an aside, it can't be stated enough Hobbs' ridiculous body transformation since he first signed with AEW, in the best sort of way.

Honorable mention to Rey Mysterio. He's had some terrible gear. To be fair, he's also had some really amazing gear. He's had so many styles and themes over the years that some were bound to be stinkers: forehead horns, flesh colored outfit, silver surfer outfit, garbage bag fat shirt, the mohawk mask.

When HBK and Mysterio started wearing the pants, I hated it.
Undertaker in the late 90's shiny leather attire.
Hulk Hogan as red & yellow Superstar Graham with the boas and the sunglasses was puketastic.

Terrible look as Hollywood Bob Holly
Terrible look as Sparky Plugg
Terrible look as New Midnight Express
And it's not like his trunks were exactly flattering
