So, Kip has finally taken... whatever it is he is supposed to be doing to the front row of crowds and is just sitting there, passively reacting to stuff. He's been doing this avant-garde material for months, but now that it's becoming more visible, one of the issues lies in how it's just ignored.
In WWE, something like this would be hammered home constantly, but in AEW, they tend to (for better or worse) play the long odds on certain angles.
The problem is... what is the plan here with Kip? They haven't called attention to this man who wears a box on his head that shows up in crowds, for when they do, audiences will now look for it, but if you have seen it, you're likely frustrated at the lack of attention the show has given to the man with a box mask. Not to mention, there's absolutely no way he could reasonably compete, nevermind win, a "revenge" feud against Miro (he would most likely return as a heel anyway) given how he was booked versus the way Miro is being currently presented, so ultimately, what is it that they are proposing here?

Kip's been visible in crowds off and on since the latter half of January, it's about time they did something with the ol' boxhead.
I did laugh at him disappearing when Miro showed up.

I've always figured that Boxman Kip was less a proper angle and more the real life version of that one dude in an e-fed who dips in every couple of pages to be like Lord Scorpion Looks On From The Rafters...Calmly...

I wonder if there's some kind of injury or complication that's keeping him away, because it's so weird that this isn't going anywhere but also that Kip can just be front row this whole time. Like that's a prime ticket they keep giving the guy to sit in the crowd with a box on his head, Tony has to want to do something with this bit if he's just letting him hang out there, right? When Tony loses interest in people they usually actually go away and vanish into the ether, they don't keep getting front row tickets.

I wouldn't be surprised that since it was Kip's creation and not Tony's that Khan doesn't know what to do with him.
Or doesn't "get it". Or both. I'm happy to be proven wrong tho.
I'm honestly still surprised he's on the payroll (not a knock on Kip, dude is underrated as the box says).
That first vignette he did was fire. He should have done more.

He and his wife are one, or two, of the few acts in AEW I feel really would be better suited in 2.0
I've no idea what the idea is here, but I just genuinely think that.

Kip has been injured. He hasnt worked an indie show or an AEW show since he got hurt in March of 2021. TK continues to pay him past when all the contracts expired, he does his gimmick that gets him talked about, and he gets to take the time he needs to heal. And not all injuries are just physical, as he spoke about some mental health issues while he was rehabbing.
I believe he has some indie dates set up, so after he gets his legs back, people will probably see him in a ring again.
