The remaining episodes of Megan Wants a Millionaire and footage of I Love Money 3 that went unaired due to the Jasmine Fiore murder.
Megan released a few of the unaired episodes from Megan Wants a Millionaire on her YouTube channel back in 2020. Kinda surreal to see.

How about The Young Astronauts series that was pulled after the Challenger, before it aired? ? There was also a cancelled Young Astronauts comic that would have come out under Marvel's Star Comics label. It was still advertised in subscription forms as late as Summer 1986 IIRC.

I would like to know the origin of a song that was played in 1985/86 and 86/87 episodes of Perry Mason and Matlock with the lyrics "you hate goodbyes." It was sung in the Perry Mason returns by Kathryn Lasky but it seems like a song just made for the shows. It only ever has a few lyrics but it's a really beautiful country type song and always played in a bar scene. Then after 1987 it was just dropped and never played again.
Just strange it was in every bar scene and then never played again. I guess it was a writer's idea and the song was created just for those scenes. It was more fitting for Matlock given the country boy origins of the character. But it's such a small piece of trivia, I doubt anyone would know.

Oh, if we're talking about comics, then there is a lost Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers story I'd love to see recovered. Basically, in 1990-91 Disney Comics published a Rescue Rangers ongoing. It was cancelled after issue 19, but a 20th issue was solicited. The solicitation explicitly mentioned the return of the Techno-Rats, characters exclusive to that run of the comic. While subsequent Rescue Ranger comic stories were published through Disney Adventures Magazine, and later Boom! Studios, none of them featured the Techno-Rats and it's generally believed that whatever the story in that 20th issue was supposed to be has never seen the light of day.

Some more wrestling ones:
WWF/WCW PPV Dark matches (some of the WWF ones have partial footage, and tito vs shango was released eventually, but there's plenty of unseen ones, and none of the WCW ones have surfaced, not even Christopher Knight vs Danny Bonaduce (you'd think some entertainment show would have at least done a story on that).
The Brock/HHH house show match from 2002
The full length Hogan/Jake match from 1986
Bam Bam Bigelow's tryout match from 86
Didnt they tape footage for a potential Razor Ramon heel turn on Undertaker but they scrapped the heel turn?

In 2013, WWE uploaded Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels from Survivor Series 1997. What isn't on the network, the last time I looked is the footage after Shawn goes through the tunnel in the back. You have the extended no commentary of Bret standing in the ring. Talking to Owen, Anvil and Davey. Goes around to slap all the fans hands. Destroys the TV's. Does one last salute on the corners. Does "WCW" with the fingers and waives goodbye. The extended cut of the match. Haven't seen it again. Wasn't that part of the Lonely Road of Faith video during (at the end of?) the Invasion. Some of it, I think, was on the Survivor Series '97 VHS tape. I used to have it.

Similarly, I don't think the Clipmaster (Ed Leslie's Barber-but-not-Barber gimmick) made it to WCW TV. It was after Zodiac but before they reintroduced him as Booty Man. EDIT: I saw some old Usenet posts...apparently the Giant was to turn face and leave the Dungeon with him? EDIT #2: I THINK there was a picture of him in this gimmick in WCW Magazine. Basically it was the Booty Man, only he was doing haircuts after the match again. Any Savage/Steamboat cage rematches, this was post Mania 3.

John Carpenter made a Gorgo vs Godzilla movie when he was a student. He's confirmed it exists but also wants it to remain hidden.
I think there are 2 different King Kong Japanese movies that are "lost". I don't have much hope for those. They were made pre-WW2.

I didn't have a good answer going into this thread but this is probably it for me now that I think of it. Especially ILM3, wasn't getting that into Megan Wants A Millionaire that much but I can never get enough I Love Money.

Got a few more...
- A PSA I think I would typically see on Fox. Had animated flower children, no, not hippies, child/flower hybrids. Who get killed by someone spraying them with poisons. (The idea is, "your words are like poison" or something...) - A puppet show seen on an Arab language children's show...this was on WNYC-31. It starred a talking pumpkin who was cursed to become invisible, and when bemoaning his situation, he yells, "Damn you zucchini, make me visible again!" - (There was another on this program...the AFTAB Network was the Arab block...with this robber who said "I swear to my mother, I am a gangster...") - Playing Chicken With The Train. I never saw this but apparently it was a filmstrip about train safety. I heard of it secondhand, and it supposedly ends with teenagers who try some stunt or whatever and wind up DECAPITATED. Ends with onlookers showing disgust as they see their remains. Only other detail I can think of was, a Spider-Man comic is briefly seen in it) - There was a Mickey Mouse/Disney picture book about a picnic, which I was obsessed with as a kid because of the name "Morgan's Meadow." This was the fictional location of said picnic, and I kept talking about it such that our nursery school picnic/barbecue had a Morgan's Meadow sign at the table. - A short I used to see on HBO. It was live action and about a radio game show called the Flashing Phrase. Basically, a housewife calls to play said game, only to forget her stove which sets the kitchen/house on fire. How about Bug Jam? - The Lube Connection ad from the 90s. (a local oil change shop in Jersey, had a jingle with these badly animated claymation oil drops) - There was a jingle for this lumber yard I used to hear all the time in the 80s and 90s: "Call WHO? Allen and Bubenick!" - The Mike Tyson parody from the late 90s for some NJ car dealership (of course it has lots of puns about biting and eating) - TV Kindergarten 1-2-3...this was on one of our local channels for the longest time and that era of the show seems to be rare online. - The one Bernadette Peters ad for Breyer's that seems to be nowhere, was one I had on a VHS tape I lost. By description it IS in Paley Center, however.

Footage of WKBS-TV 48's final signoff from 1983
Local Signoff/on of WVAH from when they were a indie station (1982-6 or 7)
Footage of the final minutes of KHOF-TV (allegedly the final seconds of the station were of "The FCC Monkey Band" playing their mini-cymbals as a final attack against the commission)
And footage of signoffs from the 1980s of WCHS (Especially when they were a CBS affiliate), WOWK (especially when they were a ABC affiliate, WOWK AND WCHS Swapped network affiliations in 1986) and WSAZ

Various recordings of plays and musicals have to be something the biggest lost/locked away media for me. Stuff like the numerous on stage adaptations of A Clockwork Orange and Brave New World would be really cool to see, but even tapes that were made of them are rarely ever released publicly.

There are a lot of episodes of "The Great Space Coaster" that have yet to surface online. I'd like to see those.

How about Lost Websites?
There used to be one called the Declaration of Independents, and while you can get the site, you can't do the same for the message boards, which got, ahem, colorful at times.

Lots of lost game shows so let's do those first. These include: *Snap Judgement: Hosted by Ed McMahon. Audio exists but that's it. Word game that later morphed into a Password clone. Pictures show that Carson stopped by at least once. *More episodes of the Art Fleming Jeopardy!: Only the pilot, 2-3 minutes of a 1966 episode, the 2000th from 1972, two 1974 episodes (one daytime, one syndicated), and the 1975 finale are available to the public. Several months back, someone uploaded audio from the first aired episode so apparently that exists. *Let's Play Post Office: Obscure 1965/66 show where people try to guess which historic person wrote fictional letters. A couple of promo pics and some set pics (one in color) is all we have. *Color episodes of What's My Line and I've got a Secret. Only black and white kinescopes exist.
Also: -The 1917 version of Cleopatra with Theda Bara. -An alleged audio recording of Mark Twain. There is silent film footage of him as well as former neighbor and Sherlock Holmes actor William Gellitte doing an impression of him at a lecture (audio only.) -This one is more immature but it cracks me up. I once had an old book on Television facts from the 1970's or 80's. In it, it mentions an incident on some kind of variety show where (I believe) Carl Reiner forgot to zip up his fly and his clothed wiener was on display. This book also mentioned an incident where TV model Dagmar fell out of her dress. I can't find the book (it had a few pictures on the front, one of them being of Mary Tyler Moore.) Either it was made up or these were live programs not recorded.

Not lost films, but lost documents: There are so many documents that evil regimes like the Nazis, Stalin-era Soviets, Khmer rouge, etc. that were destroyed to hide their crimes that the world needed to see.
