Not the worst but i'd put Jim Cornette on that list. Personal opinions on him aside his rap sheet consists of: Fired by the WWE for attacking a wrestler in developement Fired from TNA due to issues on the creative team (in fairness not the whole story) Parted ways with ROH due to threatening staff (among other issues) Parted ways with MLW after making homophobic comments towards Sonny Kiss Parted ways with NWA after making an innapropriate joke on one of the shows

Warrior absolutely has to be on the list, JR regularly cites him when asked about difficult workers to deal with (along with mid-90s Shawn).
Mil Mascaras I'd support too, doesn't Mick Foley have a strong dislike for him? That should tell you everything really!

An underrated one is Akira Maeda just ask Riki Choshu and Tiger Mask 1 how much of an abrasive ass he is. While I do agree Maeda is generally an asshole, he was also heavily bullied when he first started in NJPW due to being ethnically Korean, according to Bad News Brown.

Should we include Warrior or was he just a pain in Vince's ass specifically? I've seen several people who worked with Warrior say that backstage he was a quiet guy who kept to himself, and didn't like to go out partying with "the boys". Some people viewed that behavior as arrogant and took offense to it. Others just let him be. Now, in the ring, pretty much everyone agrees he was awful to work with. I mean Jake said he was a jerk to him too (though he also said it was water under the bridge) Jake was supposed to get a main event program and a big payday working with Warrior, but Warrior had a pay dispute with Vince, walked out and/or got suspended, and the program never happened. Jake took that personally, and held a grudge for years. Warrior's bark was worse than his bite backstage, and his vitriol was somewhat reserved for McMahon (in light of recent allegations, I'm glad Warrior could hold Vince to account in some form) He helped Kamala on the road when the latter had money problems (Kamala working it or not money-wise, Warrior did it in good faith) --- The WWF brought Harris back in 1992, but he said it was still a struggle. The company makes most wrestlers pay their own hotel and rental car fees. There were nights when Harris would sleep in his vehicle so he wouldn't have to shell out money for a room. Jim Hellwig, the WWF champion at the time as "The Ultimate Warrior," felt so bad for Harris that he often let Harris ride with him in the limousine the company provided for him during his title reign. On one occasion, he even let Harris stay in his ritzy hotel room. "It was somewhere really nice, like a Hilton or a Hyatt," Harris says. "That bed was so comfortable, I never wanted to leave." --- bleacherreport.com/articles/2267803-from-wrestling-legend-to-double-amputee-kamala-keeps-fightingNote: Warrior wasn't WWF champion in 1992 but I'm sure he had the perks mentioned and this isn't the first time Kamala mentioned this.

I think in the case of Warrior, he could be a pain in the ass with management pretty easily because he knew what he was worth and he wasn't one of those guys that was going to do something "for the business" without being paid. Outside his limitations in the ring I've never really heard he was a bad guy. Doesn't sound like much of a politic player or someone who wants to actively ruin careers. Just a guy with some strong opinions who doesn't sugar coat them for anyone. Even Bret in his book seemed kind of mixed on Warrior. He also wasn't really a drug guy so that made going out with the boys more unappealing to him.
Honestly, Piper was an ass to management as well during his prime days. He never put anyone over or lost via pinfall ever. He was just a more social guy with the boys and his opinions were more mainstream so he's remembered more fondly.
As to the answer to the question, it's definitely either mid-90's Shawn or one of the territory guys. Not often you see stories about guys that the boys hated, was a pain in the ass for management, and still had the sway to ruin careers.

I really don't think we're giving Low Ki his just dues here. This is a man who: - Refused to job to Claudio Castagnoli in PWG because it "wasn't realistic". Low Ki is 5'6", 160 pounds and Claudio is a human horse.
- Wrestled in a featured title match on a January 4th Tokyo Dome show wearing a cosplay of Agent 99 from Hitman. Hitman is published by one of Bushiroad's biggest business rivals, Ki hid backstage until right before the bell so no one would see what he was doing, and when he was told that it was his last strike said that they had to let him wear it because he was worried about nuclear fallout from Fukushima, despite that not making any sense in any way.
- Walked out on WWE after his first main roster match was an IC Title match because he didn't win the title in his first main roster match.
- Threatened to walk out on indy shows that he was main eventing mid-show unless he was going to win, despite previously agreeing to lose.
- Purposefully tried to knock out opponents if he thought it would help him get heat. Including in the main event of a PPV immediately after the bell rung.
- Cancelled bookings in areas with mask mandates because he claimed the mask would harm his respiration. The man was one of the first in the industry to work out while wearing a mask to improve his cardio.
- Turned down a main event spot in MLW because he demanded that they pay for an 8-week fight camp.
- Had to be carried out of the ring by security like a child because he refused to continue the match unless he was allowed to get his shit in after botching multiple times.

Here's the funniest one you've missed. Pulled out of Matt Riddles Bloodsport because they didn't let him do a real life fight camp

Mil Mascaras I'd support too, doesn't Mick Foley have a strong dislike for him? That should tell you everything really! Foley and Jericho both found Mil very selfish. Foley's situation was made worse by him having to put over Mil on a random WCW PPV for frankly no goddamn reason. Mil was a big deal in this region, yes, but then just have it be a dark match, or have a jobber put him over, not someone who was being given some level of push. Foley even asked if he could kick out at least once after taking a big planned bump off of the apron and was told, "This match isn't about you." Lest you be confused into thinking WCW was run worth a shit before Eric or Russo were calling the shot, they were always just... like this. Cornette defended having Foley in the match, as he was part of the booking committee, and told Foley that rather than it being punishment, it was due to the belief that Foley was one of the only ones who could make the most of the match that the booking committee wasn't terribly thrilled about, either. I can buy that maybe Mascaras explicitly wanted no kickouts in the match, but I doubt that part is excused. Doesn't explain why they didn't just TELL him that, but maybe working the boys by keeping everyone in the dark for no apparent reason was also an early tradition.

I was randomly thinking about that last one a couple days ago, and the picture posted on here from the event. I love it.
